Guess what? We are instructed by God to obey the government instituted over us by HIM. You break the law, you disobey God. From what I remember, those slaves were emancipated by Lincoln, were they not? Before he did so, YES they were breaking the law. You see, they had been sold by their bretheren over in Africa to the Americans...and at the time, that was a legal practice.
