While at Dinseyland a few days ago I saw a pin which displayed a rainbow mickey head. This distressed me because even though it doesn't exactly match the LGBT pride flag - something I didn't know at the time - I feel that it was made for that community. Which really isn't as far fetched as it sounds, because Disneyland and WDW used to host a thing called "gay day" which while now un-official still seems to be really important to them - they even restrict airspace on that day so that no one flys a plane with a banner which the Pride Community doesn't want to see...

Anyways whether or not it truelly represents what I think it does it still put me in an awkward position. I didn't want to ride the rides or shop their. I didn't want to be "happy", and I couldn't tell my mother about it because when I told her how I feel about shopping at all the other stores that violate or beliefs, she didn't understand. And while I did end up eating there (something that made be feel like a hypocrite) and even enjoying myself towards the end of the day I still feel bad about it, and upset that they are selling the pin.

This post isn't so much for answers (although I would like to know what you think of the pin) as to just tell someone about this. I posted something like it earlier, and one of the users went into how impossible it was to really do anything because you'd have to boycott everyone...
