Quote# 1373

The bible is a book of proven prophecy. Try reading it. Try to do it with an open mind instead of one that satan is influencing.

Oh, that's rich! By this person's criteria, an \"open\" mind is one that accepts the Bible as truth without question, and failure to do this means that you are allowing your mind to be influenced by Satan. No other interpretation is considered -- i.e., the possibility that the assertion of biblical prophetic inerrancy might be, oh, completely bogus.

Nice little \"heads I win, tails you lose\" setup you've got there.

"Try reading it."

I did.
It's bullshit.

Bad advice, dearie, very bad. The more I read the Bible, the less sense it makes.
Open mind I've got, I happily read the Poetic Edda, the Bhagavadgita, the Iliad, the Odyssey, etc. The Bible and the Koran put me to sleep.

I tried, but then I skipped to the end and it ruined it for me.

I did read it with an open mind. That's why I'm an atheist.

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled."

Luke 21:32, KJV

The bible is filled with statements that contradict reality. Try reading it.

Tomorrow's Mega-Millions drawing in the Mass. Lottery is like $53 million. It's 5 numbers out of 56, or 1:3,819,816 against. Can the Bible give me the winning number? With odds like that, I'll need divine intervention. (Crickets chirping.) I thought so. It's not a prophecy after the fact. Your horoscope wasn't right looking back at the end of the day.

Never read that pile of shit, have you?

"Try reading it" is good advice on Rapture Ready boards as it's obvious most of the sites patrons have never done so. Neither has Vickimac or he wouldn't make the "proven prophecy" claim.
