Heck, the first ammendment proves that this nation was built under a Christian world view. Freedom of speech, press, and religion (establishment clause) proves this.

Wikipedia: "The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits the establishment of a national religion by the Congress or the preference of one religion over another, non-religion over religion, or religion over non-religion ."
The ones who actually wrote the text might have been Christians, but they had seen what trouble could arise if you forced a religion onto others, and wanted to make sure that that problem could not arise in the US. Smart dudes!
We know that the bible is too long and confusing for you RR types to read. If you had, you would have known that the freedoms you listed are subtly opposed, not guaranteed, by your bible. But come on, even you can read the 1st amendment! It's not the long and its pretty straightforward. Best of all, doing so will keep you from spouting grossly ignorant posts (hopefully).
Chapter and verse, plz.
Establishment clause means that the government CAN'T establish a religion, and can't favor the Christian world-view, which is pretty much the opposite of what you would expect if your world-view involved the belief that people who didn't believe in that same religion will burn for eternity. So....
Or it would prove that, if it applied only to Christians. But it doesn't. It applies to everyone, Christian and Jew, black and white, gay and straight alike. This isn't like your bible, DanTheMan- you can't cherry pick from it, because it's actually clear-cut.
If you are a citizen of this country, the First Amendment applies to you, regardless of whether or not you believe in Jesus.
Confused?
