Quote# 13978

I got a few Christians who believe that God created the world through evolution.

1) Where did sin come from?

2) When did Satan fall from Heaven?

3) God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Awful hard on those plants to wait for the sun for billions of years.

4) Evolution teaches us that we are animals. Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?

5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?

6) When God looked at His Creation on the sixth DAY and said it was good, was Satan controlling the earth and was Adam standing on a bunch of dead things?

7) On the sixth DAY, God gave Adam dominion over the earth. Was Satan ruling then? If so you have a real problem there over who controlled the earth.

Think about THAT with an open mind.

1) Where did sin come from?

Where is the evidence that sin exists? do you have a sin-o-meter?

2) When did Satan fall from Heaven?

Where is the evidence that satan exists? Do you have a photo? Footprints?

3) God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Awful hard on those plants to wait for the sun for billions of years.

Unless plants evolved billions of years after the sun already existed.

4) Evolution teaches us that we are animals. Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?

Some of us act like it because we believe fairy tales. The rest of us
act like intelligent human animals.

5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?

I don't know. Lets call God on the phone and find out. Whats his number?

6) When God looked at His Creation on the sixth DAY and said it was good, was Satan controlling the earth and was Adam standing on a bunch of dead things?

What is the evidence that god exists? What is the evidence that satan exists?
what is the evidence that Adam exists?
For that matter what is the evidence that Cthulu exists?

7) On the sixth DAY, God gave Adam dominion over the earth. Was Satan ruling then? If so you have a real problem there over who controlled the earth.

See 6.

Think about THAT with an open mind.\"

Lets see if you can think at all.

I got a few Christians who believe that God created the world through evolution.

Say that again. Next time, make sense.

1) Where did sin come from?

When a girl sin and a boy sin love each other verrrrryyyyy much...

2) When did Satan fall from Heaven?

Last tuesday

3) God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Awful hard on those plants to wait for the sun for billions of years.

Or, you know, a day, for that matter. Near-absolute zero is uncomfortable.

4) Evolution teaches us that we are animals. Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?

Because they aren't as smart as you, to be able to see how that logical disconnect...connects...it's early

5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?

No. I don't think there was a god.

I imagine they (the Theistic Evolutionists) did, though. Tell me, what ever gives you the idea that it wasn't in his original plan? Wishful thinking?

6) When God looked at His Creation on the sixth DAY and said it was good, was Satan controlling the earth and was Adam standing on a bunch of dead things?

What?

7) On the sixth DAY, God gave Adam dominion over the earth. Was Satan ruling then? If so you have a real problem there over who controlled the earth.

Yeah, because an omnipotent being couldn't possibly have controlled it. Or, maybe, NOBODY controlled it. I'm not even sure what it really means to give Adam dominion over the earth. Could he start earthquakes? Heck, what if Satan controlled the Earth?

Think about THAT with an open mind.

Done.

Your entire argument is based upon the believe that \"Goddidit.\" Not one point in your list can be reconciled with reality.

Open your mind and think for once.

Evolution teaches us that we are animals. Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?

Which non-human animals kill members of their own species for not beleiving in their imaginary friends?

Sin is not a physical thing that can be \"created\". Hey, Jimmy, run out and buy me a bag of sin, will you?

1) \"Sin\" is a concept. It was invented by people.

2) Satan doesn't exist.

3)... Well, maybe because God didn't do that?

4) People have been acting like that for millenia.

5) Well, if God were to exist and be all knowing, yes. Either that or He's a shitty planner.

6) Again, Creation story=bullshit.

7) I again refer you to the correlation between the Creation story a the scat of male cattle.

\"I got a few Christians who believe that God created the world through evolution.\"

Well, that means that they are less stupid than you.

\"1) Where did sin come from?\"

It comes from the mistaken belief that a god exists and cares what you do.

\"2) When did Satan fall from Heaven?\"

He didn't. Satan and heaven are both imaginary.

\"3) God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Awful hard on those plants to wait for the sun for billions of years.\"

Since God is imaginary, he did not create anything.

\"4) Evolution teaches us that we are animals.\"

Like it or not, you're a mammal. I your case, you are just barely a mammal, but a mammal nonetheless.

\"Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?\"

Nobody says you have to act like a worm, a dung beetle or a chicken just because you are distantly related to them. People, or most of them, have enough brains to be able to behave in a civilized fashion.

\"5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?\"

No. God is an hallucination, an illusion, an imaginary being, therefore, God does not have a plan.

\"6) When God looked at His Creation on the sixth DAY and said it was good, was Satan controlling the earth and was Adam standing on a bunch of dead things?\"

No, imaginary beings do not create, control or stand upon anything.

\"7) On the sixth DAY, God gave Adam dominion over the earth. Was Satan ruling then? If so you have a real problem there over who controlled the earth.\"

Again, you persist with propounding the notion that your imaginary beings have taken actual actions. You really need to outgrown that sort of \"thinking.\"

\"Think about THAT with an open mind.\"

I have and I reject your silly theology.

If creation makes so much sense, answer this one question.

1. How did the world come to being without the help of any divine creator or outside influence?

Beat at your own game.

\"Think about THAT with an open mind.\"

OK, let's do that.

1) Where did sin come from?

This is the major question faced by religion for the last several thousand years. If God is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-good, why should anything bad ever happen? If He knows about it and allows it, He isn't all-good. If He doesn't know about it, then He isn't all-knowing. If He can't prevent it, He isn't all-powerful.

2) When did Satan fall from Heaven?

How do we know he did, except for what was written in the Bible? If you have an \"open mind\", you say \"maybe the Bible is wrong\".

3) God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Awful hard on those plants to wait for the sun for billions of years.

The simplest answer, if you're open-minded, is that the Bible disagrees with reality - you can't have plants without the sun. Therefore, the Bible is wrong.

4) Evolution teaches us that we are animals. Why is it that High-School Biology teachers teach us that we are animals and then wonder why we act like it?

This is just silly. In ordinary speech, we often apply the term \"animal\" only to non-human animals.

5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?

What evidence is there that there was an original plan? And how do you know what it is? Again, the \"open-minded\" person doesn't assume the Bible is right or that their interpretation of it is the right one.

6) When God looked at His Creation on the sixth DAY and said it was good, was Satan controlling the earth and was Adam standing on a bunch of dead things?

If you're open-minded, you'll question the literal accuracy of the Bible's creation story.

7) On the sixth DAY, God gave Adam dominion over the earth. Was Satan ruling then? If so you have a real problem there over who controlled the earth.

The only one with a problem is the one who insists the whole biblical story is literally true. An open-minded person says \"hmmm, this doesn't make sense - maybe it's the Bible that's wrong.

She has a point in that is it not possible to reconcile Evolution with the bible in any way.

However, she really needs to wake up and smell the Rosaceae.

5) Do you truly believe that death was in the original plan of God?

Was death part of God's plan? There are four options.

1. Yes
2. No. God's plan does not include death, but God is a weakling and can't do anything about it.
3. No. God's plan does not include death, but God rides the divine short bus, and doesn't realize that death occurs.
4. No. God doesn't exist and therefore has no plan.

According to Occam's Razor, option (4) is most likely true, since all the others require at least one unexplained entity. (God)
