The bible says the earth is fixed and not moveable. It does not say stationary. Can you move it? Push real hard and see.

You know, standing on my hands, I carry the world just as much as the world carries me. Physics 101.
Don't know if it applies here, but I'm sure it would make Rom831 mad.
Actually my gravity affects the position of the earth in space.
Rom, seriously? You look stupid enough without making public comments like this one.
Doesn't it move if we jump?
Yes, it does. Ever so slightly. Newton's 3rd Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When we jump up we push the Earth away from us but since there's a huge disparity in our mass compared to the Earth, the distance it moves is microscopic whereas ours is easy to see.
@anti-nonsense (#840804): last I checked "fixed" means "stationary".
Granted, there are long motionless stretches, but my cat quite often demonstrates the direct antonym of "stationary".
For every action, there is an opposite an equal reaction. I recall doing this problem in physics class. Everything with mass has gravity, including you and me, however small. That said, when you jump off a table, as the earth's mass pulls you down, your mass pulls the earth up. We calculated how much in class and it was an imperceptible amount. In real life, there are also other things acting on the earth to pull it in other directions., so we wouldn't have been able to confirm it.
Ignoring your retarded typo or lack of understanding of your own vocabulary:
To the writers of the bible the Earth would seem pretty immovable, but guess what? We're not ignorant desert dwellers from thousands of years ago.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
