[Replying to "Except sex with children violates the right with another person, incest leads to detrimental genetic mutations, sex with animals, well that's violating the rights of the animals..."]

<p>Not necessarily. Perhaps some children develop their sexual desires at that age and desire sex with adults. As for animals, who is to say they feel their rights are violated. Last I checked there were no animals marching in protest of their rights being violated.

Well, I'm sure there's a lot of 15 year olds who can handle their liquor in a mature and responsible fashion, but I don't see anyone pushing to let them be served in bars.

Is this yutz unfamiliar with the concept of informed consent?

Children aren't emotionally developed enough to be able to give informed consent. It's impossible to know whether or not an animal is consenting, so we're going to err on the side of caution with that one, thanks.

Not so much fundy as just really creepy.

Depends on what you mean by 'children', buddy. If you mean little kids who play doctor, then sorry, that doesn't mean they're ready for sex with anyone. If you're talking about some horny 17 year-old who wants to fuck a hottie in their 20s, then that's their business.

Sex with animals is fucked up, no matter what. I don't care about sibling or cousin incest as long as it's consensual. Parent/child incest is ALWAYS wrong no matter how old.

Pedantic Speaker

@Bad Influence:
First, some children are mature enough to live on their own (I think the legal term is usually some variation on 'emancipated youth'); if they are that mature, are they not mature enough to give informed consent?
In many species, we can tell whether consent occurs. For instance, in equines (if I recall correctly) the female displays her genitals to the male and urinates to signal her receptiveness (it may also have something to do with the scent of the urine). This definitely constitutes consent (albeit uninformed), and I am told the males do not violate the females' wishes (presumably because a female horse can be quite dangerous if provoked)
Also, (@Beccs) I am told that many animals will express 'no' by attempting to injure the rapist, and (@Brian X) the major issue with alcohol is the harm it does to the prepubescent/pubescent body.

As long as you don't KNOW that someone gives his/her/its informed consent, you should refrain from having sex with him/her/it.

Not necessarily. Perhaps some children develop their sexual desires at that age and desire sex with adults.

At what age?

I'm pretty sure a child wouldn't develop a libido prior to about the age of 8, at the very youngest. That said, I don't know how many tween (8-13) children would want to have sex with a grown adult, even if they happened to start developing sexual urges at a young age. To a tween, adults are basically still people like their parents, who are certainly not people that the kid in question would consider having sex with. >_>
