So what exactly do you propose we do? Keep in mind that you have to either stay within the framework of the constitution as it is currently, or get it amended to disallow Muslims from holding office...

You want a practical answer... Here's your answer... WW2 style internment camps for Muslims in the US until this Islamic campaign to enslave the world is ended... Then those who officially and publically swear allegiance to the American flag and the Constitution can rejoin society in general...

I have never read language more inflammatory or ideas more offensive to democracy and natural rights than at FreeConservatives. They blissfully ignore any lessons we could have learned from our mistakes. They rob us of our proudest achievements by dragging them in the mud. They are the antithesis of the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, and common sense and decency. They are all, every one of them, the worst Americans I have ever known.
Right, because setting up concentration camps is just the right tactic to endear the United States to the rest of the world. I think our reputation has been tarnished quite enough as it is. The moment we start doing that, this country really will have sold itself out to evil. But these people really don't care, do they? They genuinely think that if they say that God told them to do something, or if it furthers whatever warped, ugly little agenda they have cooking in their heads, that makes it okay. It's people like this who have pretty much destroyed what faith in humanity I had. The sick fucking bastards.
I have a better answer: round up all the fundamentalists, of every religion, and put them in camps far away from all the sane people. Odds are they'll wipe themselves out fighting over who has the true Gawd, and save us the cost of their upkeep.
Here's a better idea, Lazarus. How about we round up all the christian fundies in the US, put them into "schools" to teach them about the Constitution and American history then test them. If they pass, we let them rejoin society hopefully being a little less ignorant. If not, we lock them in a warehouse, strip them of their clothes, spray them with a chemical that identifies them as black ants and then unleash millions of red fire ants. We can then film it and claim god punished them for allowing gays into the military. That way it's all legal.
This proposed scheme is evil, idiotic, and counter to everything American is supposed to stand for. Heckuva job there, Lazzie.

That sounds like a good plan
... doesn't this idea remind you of something that happened in jolly ole Europe, oh 60 odd years ago?
no, wait, they were "bad" guys and you're "good" guys, right? THAT'S the obvious difference.
Why would anyone want to swear allegiance to a Constitution that was patently ignored so that you could place them in internment camps to brainwash them into swearing allegiance? That just doesn't make any sense to me.
And are you saying to do this to ALL Muslims in the US? Even the ones who are already US citizens?
Basically, trampling on peoples rights to make them swear to obey the things that GIVE those rights kind of defeats the purpose.
Yes, let´s do it, and be as idiot as the terrorist so that anarchy reigns and, if reason assisted once us, now it´s useless.
Um, Lazarus, I believe Ant, the poster you're responding to specifically told you to stay within the bounds of the Constitution. He said that for a reason.
Tell me, honostly, Lazarus, would you be willing to do anything to defeat the Muslim terrorists? I suspect you would. Unless I'm wrong, you're no better than them.
If you would be willing to lock up thousands or even millions of innocent people simply because some people who share one minor trait with them want to attack us, then we deserve to be attacked. If we'd be willing to do what our enemy does in order to defeat them, we're no better than them.
Lazarus, as an American, I am far more likely to be attacked by a Christian than by a Muslim. An average American is more likely to be attacked by a Christian than by a Muslim. Should we lock up all Christians?
Of course, Lazarus, you only want to lock up Muslims until the "Islamic campaign to enslave the world is ended." What do you mean by this? Most Muslims don't care about us. A few Muslims want to attack us, possibly because they're upset at Christian meddling that destroyed the Caliphate. Even they don't necessarily want to "enslave the world." Under any coherent definition, there was never a "Muslim plan to enslave the world," yet there will always be at least one Muslim who wants to attack and make everyone Muslim; after all, you can find crackpots with nearly any opinion. So, if a Muslim individual who wants to take over constitutes an "Islamic campaign to enslave the world," then you're proposing that we effectively destroy an ethnic group PERMANENTLY. Good luck with your "final solution" there, mate.
Of course, it's kind of ironic that you want to violate innocent peoples' constitutional rights, lock them up for years or even decades, then let them out only if they swear to uphold the very constitution and freedoms that you've just denied them.
So what exactly do you propose we do? Keep in mind that you have to either stay within the framework of the constitution as it is currently, or get it amended to disallow Jews from holding office...
