SEVERAL MILLION? In the 20th century alone, it is well over 150,000,000 sheep led to the slaughter mostly by homegrown thugs. Unless we, collectively, get our heads on straight, you will see slaughter by Islamic ideologues in the U.S. and Europe that will make Darfur look like a picnic. If blood is to flow, it is time for Islam to learn that Caucasians are the most efficient and effective killers in recorded history.

Actually, going by sheer numbers, caucasians aren't even in the same league as Asians. But if you are talking in the 20th Century and after, you're probably right.

While I would never dispute the fact that the Rwandan massacre is likely one of the largest protracted incidences of mass killings, I was thinking more along the lines of a lump sum total of all time. When you consider Pol Pot, Mao's Cutural Revolution and political cleanisings, the Mongolian hordes, the Sino-Russian war, etc, etc, I think the Asian continent comes out the clear winner in terms of sheer numbers. Heck, Mao is rumored to have been responisble for the deaths of more the 5 million during his time in office alone.
Oh, I see. I forgot that the fundies consider abortion murder, and they do claim that Americans "kill" 10,000 fetuses a day... they wouldn't lie about that? Would they?

Given the astounding atrocities throughout Asian history, I wonder how many are comparable to the Rwandan genocide. There are a couple of incidents in Chinese history that I recall had huge death totals; depending upon which death toll you go by, the Taiping Rebellion certainly could have been even more deadly (or "effective and efficient").

Sandman: Factoring in all the people sent to re-education camps, lynched landlords, the famines caused by Collectivization and the Cultural Revolution, Mao probably caused something like 50 million deaths. The Great Leap Forward alone might have starved 30 million people to death.
I've read estimates that Genghis Khan was responsible for some 30 million deaths, which given the population at the time, would make the deaths resulting from Mao's actions dwarf in comparison, as a percentage.
The humble Mosquito has killed more people,(via Malaria), than any human individual, society or mythical "racial" grouping EVER.

Highest millitary death toll- Soviet Russia WWII, something like 50000000- largest massacre, Holocaust- half the Jewish population in Europe, most efficient modern one, Kmer Rouge in Cambodia- 20-30% of Cambodia dead in three years- not including the years of poverty afterwards, or the many killed in the war with Vietnam.
