As long as the ACLU exists, Christians will be persecuted.

If you consider persecuted to respect the rights of homosexuals, black people and women, yes, you´ll be persecuted.
That would be extremely awkward for the ACLU, since the moment Christians become persecuted, they, by the very definition of their existence, will defend those persecuted Christians. Which, as a matter of fact, they currently do...when Christians are oppressed, which, in the USA, is damn seldom.
Being denied the ability to persecute others is not being persecuted yourself.
Yep, the ACLU does so much persecuting, what with defending all those civil rights that just get in your way. You know, maybe this whole thing would be easier if we had no rights whatsoever? Methinks you would like that right up until the point when someone whos opinion differed from yours got in power.

How many times? Christians in America are not being persecuted. People like you only wish they were, because I honestly believe you've turned it into some kind of a fetish. Either that, or it's the only way you can convince yourself that acting like a raging fuckwit is okay.
Their beef is with the Constitution. The ACLU just enforces it. By "persecuted", they mean "not allowed to hold religious services in public schools". Apparently they don't take much heed to Matthew 6:1: "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." and 6:5: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."
They can have their children pray at home. What they really want is the opportunity to proselytize other peoples' children. They're annoyed that the Constitution doesn't let them and the ACLU sees it enforced.
Enough with the fucking persecution complex.
You are the fucking majority. You are worshipping publicly, without any fear of reprisal. You wouldn't know real persecution if it walked up and slapped you in the face for your stupidity.
Repeat after me, until it sinks in:
"Granting rights I already have to others as well is not persecution. Denying me the right to persecute others is not persecution."

Well, if you're not in the U.S, there's no reason you would have ever heard of them. Basically, they're an association of lawyers dedicated to defending people's Constitutional rights. They have a somewhat mixed reputation, partly because they really do believe in free speech for everybody ---even Fred Phelps---and partly because our neo-cons have labeled them as part of the opposition.

There is no way you can ever convince these people that they aren't being persecuted.
Why?
Because the bible says they should be;
2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
See, if they're not being persecuted they're not leading godly lives. But they are, therefore they must be.
Fundy logic at it's finest.

Too often the christian right acts like these people are the "secular left" ... it's a load of bullocks.
As long as Christians are persecuted, the ACLU will be there to defend them. I mean REALLY persecuted, not just taking away their "right to deny rights to others", because that was never a thing.
The ACLU quite shockingly argued on behalf of the Unite the Right rally for their right to peaceful assembly and protest when they went for a permit and their gathering was branded illegal.
Then of course as violent racists are wont to do they threw the peaceful part out of the window and brought guns, riot shields, torches, machetes, a whip they actively attacked people with on camera, and famously committed vehicular homicide.
Confused?
