Quote# 160

In my college days, when I was more of a moderate, I had actually tried to befriend homosexuals and preach the Gospel to them in order to convert them from their wicked ways, but to no avail. They would listen for a time but then go right back to their old patterns of self-destructive behavior - which also included heavy drinking, drug use, and general lawlessness. It was like there was something evil inside them that made them do what they do - something that refused to let them go. From those experiences, I have deduced that homosexuals are, among other things, possessed by demons. And if they refuse to reject the wicked doctrines of these demons, they must be separated out from the mainstream of society in order to protect it. And since America is no longer a Christian country, it may be necessary to create a country within a country wherein our values will be upheld by law, if only to protect ourselves from these people.

\"create a country within a country wherein our values will be upheld by law, if only to protect ourselves from these people.\"

Funny, didn't this happen about 2000 years ago with a bunch of religious fanatics who wanted to keep the bad people out?

We should create a 'country within a country' to keep fundies out

I Broke Free

Of course, it’s all clear to me now. If I refuse to believe everything you say then I must be possessed by a demon! What else could possible explain why I would refuse to accept the incredible “gift” that would make me just like you?

I can think of many heterosexuals who drink heavily and do drugs. Whats your point?

@ Sierra

My fist thought, too.

I think they should create their own theocracy, just not on the continental US. I suggest they re-locate en masse to Guam. Then the rest of the world can send all their Christian fundies there, too, and the world will be a much nicer place.

In your college days you were a teenager or in your early twenties, right? Heavy drinking, drug-use and general lawlessness is not that uncommon among teenagers and people in their early twenties, regardless of sexual orientation, stupid. They're not evil, they are just testing the boundaries, most of us will eventually calm down and become more moderate with various substances and lawlessness.

Were you ready to listen to them, or were you just pushing your agenda onto them? In their eyes you're the one who refused to let your dogma go. Perhaps you're the one who's possessed by demons?

America is just as Christian as it has ever been, if anything it looks more Christian now than before.
Most other western countries move towards enlightenment and agnosticism, but USA (or rather some parts of it) seems to join the Middle East in their convulsive clinging to the old ways, the old religions, the old "values".

Those "values" seem to be:
We're right and you are wrong.
If you have money and power you can covet everyone else's money and power, and have as many mistresses and "natural" children as you want, but common people sin and will end up in hell when they covet thy neighbour's TV or commit adultery.
Gay people are icky.
Children are the property of their parents.
Etc, etc...

Reality edit:

In my college days, Which I was way to childish to operate in, I had actually tried to befriend homosexuals and preach the bullshit to them in order to convert them from their wicked ways into ours, but to no avail.

They would listen for a time, then laugh and laugh and make me run home to mommy, but then go right back to their old patterns having a life which pissed me off to no end. MOMMY!.

It was like there was something inside them that made them do what they do, Derpy derp derp. From those experiences, and a bit too much anal sex, MOMMY!, I have deduced that homosexuals are, among other things, possessed by demons or traditional southern values.

And if they refuse to reject the wicked doctrines of these demons, they must be separated out from the mainstream of society in order to protect it. And since America is no longer a Christian country, it may be necessary to create a country within a country wherein our values will be upheld by law, if only to protect ourselves from these people.

Now that'll be a shitstorm that makes Sodom and Gomorrah plus the American Civil War look good.
