Quote# 1618

If I were to make a guess I would think that your basic reason for reading the Bible is so you can bash it and those who believe in it. I respect Atheist who are honest.

I'll be honest then.

I couldn't read it. The book is not interesting at all. It simply doesn't draw me in.

The language is impossible to follow and the plot as a whole makes little sense.

Too many pages are wasted on bizarre metaphor instead of actual stories.

I give it 1 / 10 because it was funny when people 'knew' each other because they were afraid to say 'had wild sex'.

rubber chicken

Yep! that's pretty true. Maybe if you actually read the thing yourself you'd do the same ?

Oh! BTW i neither want nor need your respect.

Fair enough. I've read it, several times, several different versions. I have also read many of the books and gospels which were not included in it, during the Council of Nicea. Have you?

I wish fundies would be honest.

Fundie catch 22
"You should read the Bible so you understand what it says"
"You shouldn't be allowed to point out what it says"

Along with their special pleading shit that:
"You have to read the Bible with total acceptance of the word and not question any of it. Only those who have accepted the Lord in their heart can understand it"

Well, I just do a quick check on the Bible to see how hypocritical fundies are... you ARE supposed to take it literally, and don't forget Leviticus.
