By the way, if you were to roll out the carpet, with all its intricate design, will it display a similar effect as evolution?

Carpet doesn't modify itself or reproduce, so no, it probably won't evolve.

What the hell ?

I guess this guy assumes nonchristians have no sense of wonder. And I'm pretty sure there's no explaining it to him, either.

Huh? It must be such a profound thought that I can't wrap my head around it.
Either that or it's just completely inane and without meaning or merit.

No, it would display the effects of creationism instead. A man will jump up out of nowhere and a woman will jump out of his rib. Then they start talking to snakes and eat your apple. Only then will they notice they are nude. And they'll live for 900 years.
This happens every time a carpet is unrolled.

...What the hell?
...I'm gonna go with "evolution does not work that way".

You do realise that 'The Carpet People' is a book of FICTION, right?

Carpets don't reproduce, so no.
Carpets are designed and manufactured, organisms evolve and reproduce.

I have no fucking idea what this douche is asking, but I'm sure it's safe to assume that the answer is NO!
