The poster is referring to the use of a weight on a string as a dowsing or divinational instrument. The poster is condemning it in the same terms as he/she might use to condemn a Ouija board, and for essentially the same reasons -- and with just as little sense to the condemnation, since divination and spiritual contact have never been proved to exist at all.

To be honest, from the context it looks like she meant to say \"Knowledge if Satan's #1 enemy\" or \"Ignorance is Satan's #1 Ally\", but the gaffe is just to good to pass up!

Note that I don't fancy Ouija boards either. A crock of shit and a waste of time AT BEST. At worst, God only knows (pardon the pun). Despite my religious status, I lean more toward Roarke on this one.
