[Commenting on a study which suggests that women who exercise by doing the housework can reduce their risk of breast cancer]
Missing the point. It's not the exercise. Joggers and Pilates people - and the sun-worshippers - are the ones getting breast cancer. The explanation is this. It is God Who gives you cancer. A woman who keeps house, and bears the children God gives her as a gift, and prays the Rosary - no abortions and no pills - will be cancer-free, all other things being equal. "Blessed is the man whom God corrects; refuse not therefore the chastising of the Lord, for He wounds and cures, He strikes and His hands shall heal" - Job.

"Missing the point. It's not the exercise."
You, being a noted cancer-research scientist, are qualified to denounce those findings?
"Joggers and Pilates people"
You have solid, credible evidence that jogging causes breast cancer?
"Pilates people?" Didn't they die off about 2 thousand years ago?
"and the sun-worshippers - are the ones getting breast cancer."
Sun exposure contributes to one's risk of getting SKIN cancer, dipshit.
"The explanation is this. It is God Who gives you cancer."
What an asshole is your "good and loving" deity. Why do you worship a God who gives people cancer? Why do you worship a God who doesn't cure cancer?
"A woman who keeps house, and bears the children"
Actually, having been pregnant DOES reduce a woman's risk of getting some types of breast cancer.
"God gives her as a gift, and prays the Rosary - no abortions and no pills - will be cancer-free, all other things being equal."
No, that's hogwash. Plenty of devout Catholic women get breast cancer.
Also, if your God is so in favor of child birth and so opposed to abortion, why is the risk of death so much higher for taking a pregnancy to term than for getting an abortion?
"'Blessed is the man whom God corrects; refuse not therefore the chastising of the Lord, for He wounds and cures, He strikes and His hands shall heal' - Job."
Twaddle, rubbish and rot. What good is a God who teaches his lessons by inflicting fatal illnesses?
You're an idiot.
And once the house chores have been done she has to sit down and be bored. No physical sports, no thinking and no sitting in the sun. Just silent prayer in the kitchen, which is the domain of the woman.[/sarcasm]
That's kind of weird, because my extremely Catholic great-grandmother, who had seven kids and never worked a day in her life, died of breast cancer.
Any god that gives cancer to anyone for breaking a routine is not the god for me. It is abundantly clear that my moral standards are far superior to your god's moral standards. But, regardless of that, die in a fire longwaybacksheep.
Besides, why do you associate anybody who does exercise with sun-worshipers? moreover, the same study says that the incidence of breast cancer is the inferior in this same case. Don´t pick and choose.
Except science does not concern itself with your inane, early-centuries CE ramblings, or with the will of your psychopathic, hypocritical sky man.
It is God Who gives you cancer.
They used to think God gave people the Plague. Today we can cure it with a few dollars worth of antibiotics. If God gives you cancer, shouldn't it always be incurable? Betty Ford, who was treated for breast cancer in 1974, is still alive today at 88. Plenty of others have been treated for breast cancer and have lived a normal life and eventually died of something else. Is Longway suggesting human doctors are more powerful than God?
Well, I can tell you, that's horseshit; my ma was a stay-at-home mother, cooked & cleaned, never jogged or did pilates in her life, never had an abortion, is active in her church, and she got breast cancer.
Now, if you want to tell me that it was because she was sinful, well, I won't argue the point with you, because she is admittedly one of the most obnoxious people on the planet, but from this guy's own definition, she shouldn't have gotten it -- especially not twice!!
You are a stupid, deluded fuck as bad as psychic healers. You hawk a loogie in the face of reality and truth to persue a completely fucktarded avenue of so-called thought by attributing natural occurring sickness to whether or not they were virtuous in the eyes of your imaginary friend. Cancer does not obey your stupid rules, people still get sick and die from cancer regardless. You are a disgusting piece of shit and hope you die in the worst way.
Well isn't that odd?
I come from a long line of deeply devout Catholics and a large number of the women have died of breast cancer.
So please tell me how that works, you stupid prick?
Oh, judging by your name, do you REALLY like being behind sheep?
You're missing the point.
The explanation is unimportant until you know what the hell you're talking about.
Before you explain anything, find out whether in fact the:
"Joggers and Pilates people - and the sun-worshippers - are the ones getting breast cancer."
If they are you might be on to something
I guess god forgot to bless Beverly Murch, wife of uberfundie Bruce Murch of the Full Quiver Mission, who battled uterine cancer.......Beverly was certainly the model of christly female behaviour - I do believe she had about 11 or so children.....what was god thinking????
Why is it fundies praise god when they recover from an illness but fail to recognize that it was god that afflicted them in the first place?

I am a nurse. I have taken care of thousands of women, many with breast cancer. Whether they exercised or not, whether they had children or not seemed to have no influence on whether they got cancer or not. I would love to replace Taxol with rosaries. But tell which rosaries are most effective: Episcopal or Catholic? A Phase 1 study might be in order . . .
My Jesus Freak aunt, who was a stay at home mother of five kids and went to church every freakin' week, died of breast cancer, you fucktard.
<*slaps forehead*> Oh, wait, she forgot the Magic Mary Beads! THAT'S why God let her die in extreme pain and left her children motherless! Silly me!

So then... my aunt? A devout Christian and homemaker all her life, who had 14 (yeah, FOURTEEN) kids, was married to a deacon of the church, went to church seven days a week, for over 50 years, until she was too sick to walk, personally headed the committee to raise funds to build her town's church, and as a Catholic, prayed the Rosary EVERY DAY, she died of breast cancer because...? Why was that?
That uneducated, unempathetic, self-righteous excuse for a human being needs to shut up.
Fuck that is the dumbest thing ever. My mother got breast cancer, bared 2 children, did things write. Went to church. Funny she no longer goes to church and she is cancer free. thank "god" for doctors! idiot!
joggers and working out is bad, you take care of your body live long. Be a housewife and commit suicide, after going insane!
A woman who keeps house, and bears the children God gives her as a gift, and prays the Rosary - no abortions and no pills...
My first mother-in-law was all those things and more, and yet she died ravaged with cancers throughout her body.
Your god can go fuck itself with a wire brush.
See, I'm on the cross country team.
And there's this girl. Who won nationals in '06.
She's Christian (I'm pretty sure).
And we'd be SCREWED if she quit.
Yet, despite your...overwhelming evidence to the contrary...she has remained on the team. And continued to "jog".
Than why is it the one Christian women I knew who went to church regularly, always obeyed gods word, stayed at home with her children, did all of the house work, and obeyed her husband died of cancer?
Idiot, you think that you can avoid cancer simply by worshipping god? You're out of your mind. You're not going to live to be extremely old, perfectly healthy, because you are Christian.
...Every time I read or hear someone say that God gives people horrible and painful diseases, I can't hate these people. I pity them.
On that note: The Stepford Wives was not an instruction manual.
Confused?
