Don't cut their hair! They'll lose their super powers. How ever are they going to defend themselves from lions prowling the road between two cities without the strength given by uncut hair (only works if it is left uncut since birth)?

Only reason I could imagine is that skirts make it easier for daddy, uncle and the local pastor. All they have to do is lift it, push some panties out of the way. Flip up, abuse, flip back down. Its a real timesaver!
Maybe there's other reasons though, but I'm not sure I can imagine that many horrors.
