No, the Sun is the center of the universe.

The sun isn't the center of the universe as the universe has no center. Nor is the sun the center of our galaxy. It's one of 300 billion or so stars and is located far from the center.
Well atleast you didn't claim the Earth is the center of the universe, so I'll give you a couple of points for that.
Ah, the sad things that happen when you live in a non-reality. Well, it's a step up; at least he didn't say the earth is the center of the universe.
One step at a time, guys. One step at a time...
From what point is this guy arguing? Is he a fundie that thinks our solar system is at the center of everything, or is he arguing against the earth being the center of everything? I was going to check the thread but CF is down at the moment.
From which ever point of view he belongs, he's an idiot and makes his side look bad.
Edit: Finally got in to CF to look at this thread, and all I can say is the whole thing is just a boat load of stupid. Even the ones debating him don't know what he is arguing.
tempest1380: Apollo? What the fuck happened to Helios?
And yeah, according to scientists, the universe doesn't have a center.
Since the universe is of infinite dimensions in all directions, yes, yes the Sun is the center of the universe. But then again, so is every other speck of matter in all of existence.
It's hard to say where the center of the universe is (since the shape of space is unknown), but it definitely isn't the Sun. Ignoring the possibility of an infinite universe, the center of the universe would be where the Big Bang occurred. The sun is not in that location.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
