yeah, calling it "bible" or eve n"The Holy bible" is so much better than, say, "The Vedas", or anything like that. You convinced me.
By the way, if you place so much worth in the bible, how can you in good conscience say "girlsrthebest"? Girls and women are to stay on the background and show unconditional obedience to the men in her family and husband. Read you "bible" which other religions haven't got.
Lots of other religions have holy books. And not only has the bible gone through so many revisions and alternative interpretations that there isn't a faberge egg's chance in a car crusher of finding a definitive version, but it didn't even exist for some time during the early phases of Christianity, plus more than half of it is recycled from Judaism, despite the fact that most of the tenets of Judaism are utterly rejected by many Christian denominations.
so? I've got a book named "gawds and demigawds" and its got more religions than your book. Oh and it doesn't contradict itself, and only the evil gawds in it get hard for genocide, incest and other stuff your book loves so.
Its fiction, just like your bible, though. But at least its less atrocity-inducing!

"And cthulu has a book named necronomicon unlike other religions."
Actually, Cthulhu does not have a book named the Necronomicon. The Necronomicon is actually known as the Al Azif and that was written by Abdul Al Hazrad prior to 738 AD. It is a treatise containing the true history of Earth, powerful magics and the histories of the Great Old Ones.
Cthulhu's "book" is the Pnakotic Manuscripts. The surviving fragments were written before humans walked the earth and are written in the R'Leyhian tongue.
Ia Cthulhu!
1)Judaism has a bible.
2) How is "bible" superior to Torah, Koran, Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Four Vidas, Book of Mormon, ect.

Oh, sorry, I must be coming down with something.
Bible from the name of the city that was famous for high-quality paper, that gave rise to the word for paper, then for collections of paper, then for bound collection. Then for a collection of paper with writings that are informative on a particular subject. The fisherman's bible, the poet's bible, the woodcarver's bible...
If 'the bible' was written today, it could just as imaginatively be called The Xerox.
Confused?
