It's a dry read but worth checking out if you want to debate evolution. I read the bible even though it has as much of an impact on me as Aesop's Fables or the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales.
I read the bible because it's the best way to debate religion with believers. Understanding their core beliefs is the best way to understand their arguments.

Actually, I don't need to even read the bible to know it's mostly utter crap. There is enough debate over it splattered all over the place to tell me what I need to know.

Well, since you people attack Darwin more than modern biology I fully expect you to know the source you attack. All Christian arguments against Darwins theory are cherry-picked out of context misrepresented points or just straight out lies and accusations about his character.
