Children are nothing more than vulnerable young people needing the advice and guidance of loving parents. To fill their heads with new age nonsense will do them a grave injustice. Stop teaching children magic and getting them hooked on the occult . The bible warns very strongly on leading children astray from God. Introduce your kids to the one Person who truly does know the future and can do unimaginable things with indescribable power. His name is Jesus Christ.

Nice start...
"Children are nothing more than vulnerable young people needing the advice and guidance of loving parents. To fill their heads with new age nonsense will do them a grave injustice. Stop teaching children magic and getting them hooked on the occult.
However, it goes downwards from "The Bible" and hits the bottom at "introduce your kids to Jesus Christ".
So in other words, the message is "magic is evil. Now let me introduce you to my favorite magical creature".
I found out recently, I think it was from the Discovery Channel, that China makes it illegal to indoctrinate a child into any religion until the individual turns 18 years of age.
While I don't support totalitarian regimes like China's, sometimes I can appreciate the wisdom of such a practice.
My kids were brought up as atheists as well.
What about Charismaticism and Pentecostalism? Okay, well I guess IFBs (including those clowns at Teens 4 Christ) reject those beliefs on account of them being occultist - but practisioners of those beliefs claim to oppose the occult, as well. What is the occult, anyway? Belief in the supernatural? In the case, the only Christian group that would be non-occultist is extreme Progressive Christianity - who interpret the Bible symbolically instead of literally.

I agree with this part.

But not this part.
All superstitious bullshit is equally silly and potentially damaging to impressionable young minds.
What went wrong with my upbringing:
It started when I learned to cast magic missiles, which in the beginning created one globe of energy doing 2 to 5 points of damage but I soon eneded up with 5 missiles. I really knew I was in trouble when I cast my first Dragon's Breath, doing 20d10 damage to a 30 feet radius. But luckily I beat the evil wannabe goddes and became a god myself. Damn her trying to revive Bhaal. That whole being Bhaalspawn thing really threw of my childhood.
And ofcourse the spamfilter won't let me post this... I think it can smell he bullshit and doesn't like the way it smells.
Stop teaching children magic and getting them hooked on the occult
You mean, magic like someone waving their hands and causing a sea to split apart? Or magic like some magical being creating the whole world in seven days? And as for the occult, you can't beat bringing people back to life after they've died.
Lessee...I wonder if Dick of the Ghost ever thought that his last few sentences was the very "new age nonsense" he advocated against filling children's heads with in the second?
Then again, probably not.
Introduce your kids to the one Person who truly does know the future and can do unimaginable things with indescribable power. His name is Joe Pesci.
This reads better, for some reason.
Now, Sword of the Spirit, repeat after me:
It's only a movie....it is not real...it's only a movie....it is not real.
Children are MUCH more than that. They need fiction as well as fact, and should know how to recognize the difference. Please do that before you let your child get anyplace close to a preacher. Ideally, the child will have the confidence to shout out "That's a lie" whenever the preacher ...er...lies.
Confused?
