This comes as no surprise to me. I've been saying for years that we need to be prepared because the kind of persecution believers suffer in places like China is coming here, and I think it's going to come on very quickly. It starts with gagging Christians so we can't say anything in public and swiftly - very swiftly - progresses to hauling us before courts and magistrates, and then to "re-education" facilities, and finally to execution chambers.

I tire of the people who say "it's not going to happen here, blah blah blah". Wake up - it already IS happening here. I also tire of the people who say "God promised us we wouldn't suffer". Uhm no He didn't. He promised us Christ would be with us, even to the end of the age. And He promised that we would not suffer His wrath. But all else is fair game - going through heinous persecution, in danger of death, having your property confiscated - all of that and more.
