This Richard Carrier guy says that naturalism is incompatible with theism and that many of our politicians are closet Godless. Does he not know that the very heavens praise the name of God?
He was in the armed forces. Why would the government ever voluntarily put firearms in the hands of a Godless human being? If God doesn't matter to him, how could ANYTHING, much less the life of his superiors or fellow citizens?
I'm tired of these atheists coming out and trying to convince me that my faith in God and Christ Jesus the Lord his Son is some kind of a "delusion." God is real and I feel him in my heart as certainly as Mr. Carrier obviously feels hatred towards Him. If God doesn't exist, then what exactly is Mr. Carrier rebelling against?

We don't need a giant surveillance camera in the Sky watching us to be good. Being sarcastic, look at the Chinese army, and you´ll have a reason to fear that they, godless or not, have such power in their hands. And by the way, look at the result of any war, particularly before the eighteen century. If God is love, I can say that it´s not the first time that guys who are not precisely going to follow his intentions hold such a power. Second, the fact that it´s "rebelling" against God is your creation. Don´t put in his mouth words he didn´t say and then use them as argument. It´s what we call STRAWMAN.

We atheists rebel against your religious delusions intruding on our secular society. We rebel against seeing good persons corrupted with ridiculous beliefs. We do not rebel against your God because he doesn't exist. As you point out, rebeling against that which does not exists would be silly. However, to rebel against the effects of belief in that which doesn't exist is not silly.
The pagan deities are real, and pagans assure me that they feel their deities in their hearts as certainly as you obviously feel hatred toward them. If the pagan deities don't exist, then what exactly are you rebelling against?
