That psychedelic plants and mushrooms is passive evidence of an Omniscient creator. (only a higher being or an higher mind would create psychedelic mushrooms) apart from ToE.

Only an idiot would think that was evidence. Or maybe you're just high as a kite right now. I'll wait for you until you come back to reality.

Most psychedelic substances are alkaloids that plants or fungi build from amino acids for their own purposes, including defense and waste disposal. The mushrooms aren't trying to get you high - they're probably trying to kill you.

@Beccs

If you read the 1960 the foreward to Robert Graves's \"The Greek Myths\", he suggests that many of the visions, hallucinations and prophetic insights of the ancient Greek religions are down to the use of \"amanita muscaria\" or other hallucinagenic mushrooms!

There you have it; god is a mushroom!

Um, no... it's evidence that the plants and mushrooms in question are under threat from things that eat them and so produce toxins.

Psilocybe mushrooms grow in places where there tend to be lots of insects. The produce, among other things, psilocybin. If an insect consumes psilocybin, guess what happens?

It's nervous system fries, and it dies, either immediately or by being unable to evade a predator soon after. In either case, the mushroom creates a selective pressure in its niche — favoring insects that don't eat mushrooms.

If you put enough psilocybin into your own nervous system, it will also get fried in very much the same way that an insect's does. If you have to run away from a hungry lion, it's best not to do it while tripping on mushrooms, right? The only thing that saves you from an immediately lethal dose is your body mass; psilocybin is a defense against insects, so it's not potent enough to kill humans unless the human goes out of its way to consume tremendous qualities of the stuff.

On the other hand, bad logic and silly notions of divine beings in the sky whipping up fungi that grow on cow shit so that people can get high are evidence that this person's nervous system might already be fried, so I guess a little more damage really doesn't matter.

Can´t these people understand that this plants and elements simply have a substance that CAUSES THAT IN HUMAN BEINGS' BRAIN?. Is the fact that parsley is poison for parrots a passive evidence too?
