Hmmm....anime has it's roots in the Manga comics of the late '60s and early '70s in Japan and first showed up really as an animated art form in the late '60s, while D&D had it's origins in table-top wargaming of the '70s in America and first showed up in 1974.
Not even close to being related at the time, and not really closely related even now (with the possible exception of really hard-core fantasy/SF fanboys and the \"BESM\" RPG.)
Besides, ragging on D&D for being Satanic is sooooooo 1980's. Get with the times, fool.

Hmm, speaking of anime, are there any good series out now? I don't mean the stuff they show on Adult Swim (the best show they ever had was Fullmetal Alchemist (closely seconded by Evangelion), and I had all of that before the first episode was dubbed), I mean new stuff that isn't on American TV. Fansub-only shows are fine, as I prefer the original voices anyway. So many dubs fuck up a major character...

I've heard the whole \"D&D is evil\" argument but I've never heard it connected to anime. Personally, I don't like the cheaply done anime myself. The GOOD anime - Crying Freeman, etc, is excellent.
