I think we gave out the History Revisionist Award too soon!

Dude, pick a subject and stick to it. This reads like England and the US had nuclear weapons during the battle for American independence. That can't be right.

I think I got brain whiplash, making huge jumps between time periods and locations like that.

This is the sad result of synapses firing randomly.

Yes, it is disjointed. But I get the distinct impression that yoyoofloco is perturbed because French \"liberals\" overthrew a nice, conservative monarchy.

I wouldn't of wanted Hitler to be killed before WWII...We need these sort of people to stand up as an example that we shouldn't give too much power to people...I think we are due another one of these in the next 20-30 years...
Also what has the French Revolution to do with HITLER? different century, different country, different problem.
Let's see most of the people who went to America from England were escaping religious persecution.
Greenpeace fights its battles in countries it can control the politics. (not Iran and NK.)

If you think America or the colonies were liberal during the American Revolution you need to check your facts a bit. England was far more liberal than the colonies were at that time.
Yeah, 'cause the US Constitution gave the vote to every (white) man, whereas the number of people who could vote in the UK was restricted to maybe 10% of the adult male population.

Let's see, now. I live in Britain. Funnily enough, the last time this country got fucked up (apart from now under Tony Blair, who is more right-wing than the tories) was when Margaret Thatcher, a Conservative, was in charge - closing the mines without proper provisions to the workers.

The lack of understanding of the individual events makes me doubt the disjointed time line is just bad writing.

Bearing in mind that Hitler got in power in 1933 and was ousted in 1944, I don´t know what you mean by \"rewritting\" history.

Today's liberal can only be matched to one time in world history. That would be the French Revolution. Matter of fact this is where the concept of the left came from. I think you know how fouled up these people were. Erm... what? Radical Liberalism inspired the American Revolution a decade before the French. Modern Liberalism, arguably came into existance with Teddy Roosevelt, more than a century later, who was pushed into office and caused the Progressive Movement to take flower. That said the basic principles of liberalism and conservatism are intrinsic to human society.
Speaking of stopping Hitler, as I sure you are well aware, Hitler and FDR went into power only four months apart. Point? How many lives would have been save had Hitler been taken out in 1933 or 1934? Yes, just because we were in the midst of the Great Depression doesn't mean we couldn't have invaded a foreign country to deal with a threat that the rest of the world didn't care about! Not to mention that FDR and the liberals of that era wanted us to have a stronger policy against Hitler well before the conservatives got their act together Instead we fought a war over oil in the Pacific in 1941 with a weakened arm forces that had been allowed to decay. For fuck's sake, it was the Great Depression! People couldn't afford food, let alone to prop up a massive military budget. Also, why is it our responsibility to "take care off" imperialists in Japan or Germany? If history is allowed to repeat itself, we will see the same thing happen again.
You can rewrite history all you want to. If you think America or the colonies were liberal during the American Revolution you need to check your facts a bit. England was far more liberal than the colonies were at that time. Yeah, invisible representation and monarchy et all
What prevented nuclear amageddon was the fact that both powers had nuclear weapons. Holy sudden transition, Batman!Had the world been armed with conventional weapons, Europe and possibly the entire world might be under the Soviet Union now. Yeah, since those commies really wanted to slog through another horrific land war after WWI caused their economy to collapse and the revolution(s) and WWII had seen the systematic massacre of slavs.(This would have made a lot of leftist happy, we certainly saw an example of this in South East Asia). Actually, their militant tactics would have made the right quite happy, since both seem to enjoy torture Eastern European style so much. Not to mention certain parts of Southeast Asia (ie: East Timor, where we funded Indonesia's massacre of the East Timorese since they weren't communists). There has been recent nuclear lately activity in both Iran and North Korea. Just North Korea... Even though North Korea has actually tested a weapon and Iran is working on one, we have heard nothing from Green Peace. They're worried about open air tests killing complete innocents... not nuclear testing in general, duh. That's not to say they don't care, but that isn't their organization's specific issue. It would be like AARP talking about economic disadvantagements that minorities have. It's an important topic, but it's not topical. This explains the references to Green Peace and watermelons, green on the outside and red or yellow on the inside. North Korea may be communist, but Iran is decidedly not. The Eisenhower-backed Shah essentially murdered all of the "communists" (really any one to the left of Mussilini). Also, what the fuck does yellow represent? Are there yellow watermelons, because I've never seen them...
The way world history has worked is it swings back between being conservative and liberal. Liberals like FDR make the world stable enough so selfish xenophobes can exist in it, as soon as the conservatives take over, we go back into chaos and confusion. Then things fall apart again.

This idiot wouldn't get it, Himmler or some other putz would have been ruler and a different result would have been quite different.

Only in fundie America can Liberals be seen as the Left.
Both powers? The only power that has ever used nuclear weapons against another country is the US of A, and it was used against Japan; a country known to NEVER SURRENDER. The Russians were fighting against Nazi Germany by then, which is why they received a fourth of Germany as a war trophy, that became the DDR.
Greenpeace has probably protested again and again against all usage of nuclear power, including weapons. If you haven't heard, it's because you don't listen. You don't even know their name.
Liberal is barely even in the middle. What about socialism?
The last great wave of chaos and confusion was caused by a conservative; George Walker Bush. He managed to destabilize the WHOLE world's economy. Maybe, with "things fall apart", you mean things like people attaining human rights, women getting to vote and own property, black people are set free, children are no longer the property of their fathers, women get to divorce their abusive husbands, rape within marriage becomes a crime. If that is the case, I prefer that "chaos and confusion" over your stable tyranny and slavery.
