to bad I'm not talking about tuberculosis, do some reading (Im not talking about websites) on the subject and you'll understand that becoming immune [to antibiotics] isn't evolution. Sort of how we become immune to the chicken pox after getting it, or gaining the same immunity from your mother after you are born.

Is there some sort of remedial Bio class I can send these people to?

Wow, this is really twisted. He actually equates individual people with populations of germs. He seriously doesn't have a clue here.

I...think there are very few immunities you can inherit. Particularly after being born.

Becoming immune =/= evolution.

It's true, developing an immunity isn't evolving, because INDIVIDUALS DO NOT EVOLVE. However, populations do. If you're going to do some reading on the subject, I suggest you read your articles in their entirety before making base assumptions.

Okay, get the fuck off your computer and go take immunology 101. While you're at it, take microbiology 101 as well. Don't let me catch you spouting that shit again!

Boy: After you are born, you get a certain amount of immunity to certain viruses and bacteria through maternal antibodies that remain in your system. It doesn't last all that long, though - around six months.

Actually, both ways work. That's like saying the breast stroke isn't swimming, because the backstroke is.

People don't become 'immune' to antibiotics.

BACTERIAL POPULATIONS become resistant to antibiotics.

Why? because they evolve....by a process of natural selection.....

Immunity to antibiotics, for bacteria, IS evolution because those few who survive antibiotics have some natural immunity and they're the only ones left to reproduce. Human immunity to chicken pox has nothing to do with evolution.
