One does not need god or religion to be moral
One does not need to be moral to have god or religion.

They do not go hand in hand, and there is a basis for morality. take a psychology course and learn how people develop morals and values.

I work with a fundy that I've known for 30 years. He is continually amazed that I am basically a decent human in spite of my atheism. If the churches and bibles were taken away from them would they all be sniping from rooftops with deer rifles? Zero moral code.

So, what this implies is that all these Fundies are only (barely) functioning members of society because the Bible tells them to be. So if we didn't have the Bible, I guess they'd all be thieves, serial killers, and rapists.
Oh, and if you're curious, my moral code goes like this: unpleasant things are unpleasant, therefore: don't do them.
