There is no question about the truth of the Bible stories.
The bible-tribes are very smug in the idea that there are no contradictory texts (aside from the bible's many internal contradictions) from the first century middle east, and that their book is definitive.
For centuries, this was the case, since the early "Pauline Corporation" took extraordinarily thorough steps to destroy anything Irenaeus of Lyon (not Jesus, not god) described as heretical. The library of Alexandria was burned once again during this episode.
Irenaeus' most hated target was a "secret gospel" that refuted Genesis. Scholars knew of this text throughout the years, thanks only to Irenaeus' negative commentary.
It has been found, though, and translated,
and by gum, it seems that Christ Himself debunked the whole OT and its god.
The Pauline Corporation, on the other hand, followed their anti-Christ apostle, away from a doctrine of true spiritual freedom and humanism, and right back into the grasp of the delinquent god of Abraham.
The whole Jesus experience was wasted on the bible-tribes.
