If you really exist. Smite the unbeliever.
Amen.

I am an atheist, and my wife is an atheist, but my 5yo daughter goes to a school with religious assemblies, religious education, and recently told us that Easter wasn't about chocolate but about \"thanking Jesus for dying for us\" (but still wanted an egg).
Yup, my daughter believes in God and Jesus, and guess what? I couldn't 'Atheosdamn' care less; given that she also believes in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Teletubbies.
Oh and for the record, she believes dinosaurs lived millions of years before man, that man is a sort of monkey, and that fossils are the remains of things that lived a very long time ago.
She'll grow up to believe what she want's to believe. The difference between me and a fundie is that I don't demand that it also be what I want her to believe.

Hey, my mom used the \"no Jesus, no presents\" bit with me during Christmas when I was younger. I had to pretend I was Christian just to get her to buy me new shoes when I outgrew my old ones, even.

It's almost as if there's something about not worshipping anything that makes a fuse blow in some people's heads.
\"Oh, so you worship Satan? No? Darwin? The God of Science and Logic? Richard Dawkins? Yourself? Atheos?\"

My three kids have the freedom to believe what they want. I did tell them what I did, and did not believe, but I never forced them to conform to my way of thinking. Because they are smart, they all turned out to be atheists, but that was their own choice, not mine.

My mother who is a devout protestant let me live a godless live and that is the greatest gift she ever gave me.
As an atheist I will let my daughter free will decide what's good for her in religion (but I'm pretty syure that she'll choose not to believe... we don't have many devout believers in our neighbourhood (except some jehovah's but they won't come near my house anymore since I had a little talk about the meaning of the new testament... very strange...)

\"ATHEOS?!\" Apparently you know nothing about atheism. Most atheist parents probably wouldn't mind if their children decided go xian as long as it was a thoroughly thought out course of action. In fact, any good parent should encourage religious exploration regardless of their personal beliefs.

Wow.
1) The word \"atheism\" litterally means that the person does not believe in ANY GOD. Therefor, atheism is not a RELIGION. I'm Christian, but this is just plain embarrassing.
2) Um... who is raised by their parents for 4 decades? You... do understand that 4 decades is 40 years, am I right?

This explains why Fundies think that homosexuals go out and try to \"convert\" straight people.
Fundies really, honestly, cannot imagine that other people don't act the same way they do.

Atheos? I thought I was supposed to worship myself as a god. Or maybe it was science. Or...oh, I get it! You're trying to come up with a god name atheists would use as an emotive ejaculation!
Well, keep on wanking - the Atheos bullshit is just plain ridiculous.

As long as she did not become a brain-dead fundie and/or was doing anything that could harm herself or others, I'd respect whatever path my child would take. In fact, when I feel she's old enough, I'd like to expose her to as many paths as I can so she will respect all paths, no matter which she chooses to take.

I'm doubly evil I'm afraid, not only am I an atheist but I'm also completely asexual. I spend all morning worshipping Atheos and all afternoon engaging in hot, sweaty, Asex with complete strangers, sometimes for a lack of money that I can use to not buy drugs. Oh Atheos where did my life go wrong ??
