Yes, our heathenist society doesn't carry homosexual death penalty. We are a free society, not a theocracy. You don't have to live here you know. If you like religious dictatorships there's plenty in the Middle East. You take your pick.

Of course, that should be the basis for law-making. Forget the actual harm to one another, or things with a direct, measurable harm to society. Let's make laws based on how much you say God is offended by something, so we can start executing mouthy kids, and people who have vegetable gardens!

"basis for enacting legislation"
It isn't.
Now shove yours where the sun don't shine.

The bible does not actually describe a case where a person was executed for engaging in homosexual behavior. It does, however, describe a case whee a man was stoned to death for gathering sticks on the sabbath. So tell us Old Man, have you ever done yard-work on a Saturday?
Better consider your answer carefully Old Man. By the standards you wish to impose on our country, your life depends on the answer.
Or should we assume that you men for those standards to be imposed on other people and not you?

@Dr Shrinker:
Am I allowed to collect rocks on the sabbath? If not, can I buy two packets of gravel, please?

My home state does not have the death penalty at all. Not even murder.

But, WHY do we need a higher power to give us morals? Human race is perfectly capable of creating them itself.
