Quote# 24509

My personal opinion is that the source of cutting is demonic oppression. Sometimes it can come by things they do (ie. delving into 'innocent' occult things even in ignorance - ie. reading horoscopes, etc.)
doors can be opened to our enemie's territory and they can then effectively oppress us.

Ah yes, the proved causal link between horoscopes and self harm... well known...

5/1/2007 7:02:42 AM

The source of cutting is a fact demonstrated by psychiatrists which has psychological grounds and it´s treated accordingly, not an opinion from an idiot who has read some passages in the Bible, written by guys who were everything but scientists.

\"My personal opinion is that I don't know why people cut but I can use this as a way to promote Christianity and make anyone who does self-harm feel fucking guilty... which could very well lead to them self-harming some more.

But that's their fucking problem... screw them. As long as I can spew out more Jesus-crap, I don't give a flying fuck what happens to them.\"

Fixed it for you... you twat.

Because we all know, only godly people would hurt themselves on purpose.

I wonder where they got that idea?

5/1/2007 7:28:18 AM

Try again.

(@D: That only works for people who don't want to leave marks or whose impulses accept substitutes... *cough*)

THere must be a hell oif a lot of demons out there. What with causing all the mental illness, corrupting each individual person when they can (is there one demon per person, 10 for each Christian?)

5/1/2007 7:57:16 AM

Sometimes it can come by things they do (ie. delving into 'innocent' occult things even in ignorance.

And we certainly wouldn't want to do anything out of ignorance now would we?

5/1/2007 8:36:52 AM

much as i hate horrorscopes, they're no worse than organised religion

5/1/2007 8:37:44 AM

Well, Sweetie, your personal opinion is worth fuck-all.

5/1/2007 9:57:33 AM

Beccs: Don't forget about the demons that hide the car keys.

Horoscopes are, in my opinion, innocent fun. They don't mean squat, but they never hurt anybody. Unlike fundamentalist religions.

Cutting oneself is a serious psychological problem. I have a close friend who does it (between bouts of bulemia) and I don't pretend to understand it, but I know enough to urge her to see a therapist, not an exorcist.

And she doesn't believe in the occult, Nadiine. She's into science, not horoscopes. What do you make of that?

12th Century flagellents ring a bell?

5/1/2007 3:21:19 PM

OK, so normally I try to be civilized in these commentary threads, but will you kindly get your claws the Fuck away from psychiatry before you do lasting harm?!

5/1/2007 3:24:45 PM

Your personal opinion is worth jack squat.

5/1/2007 3:38:49 PM

Yeah, that damn astrology leads people to demonic oppression.

Oh, wait, who were those magi? How did they claim to have found Christ? And didn't they have some influence on Christianity?

5/1/2007 3:57:40 PM

Christianity defined- An set of beliefs in which all personal responsibility is abandoned. If someone does something bad, it is demonic influence. If someone does something god, goddidit.

Admiral Crunch

I think one of the sources of cutting is Christian oppression.

I remember reading a Normal Bob Smith interview where he claimed that he's had fans tell him that they play with his Jesus Dressup page as an alternative to cutting to relieve tension.

I don't suppose Nadiine is aware of how often the early Christian theologians used numerology.

Why do you think there are four gospels? Numerology. Twelve apostles? Numerology. The Revelation of John? Full of occult symbolism. The OT says that God put the stars and planets in the sky \"for signs.\"

Your religion was founded by people who believed in what you consider the enemy's territory.

Your opinion is valued, Nadine. Now go play with your dollies. But check first to be sure they're not possessed.

I headdesked. Literally.

5/1/2007 9:22:11 PM

Reading horoscopes can lead to cutting?

5/1/2007 9:39:31 PM

So lumberjacks and glass cutters are demons?
