And all I ever hear from the Pro-choice zealots is WE ARE NOT FOR ABORTION!!!!! That is so untrue! When it is so obvious that one of the CHOICES!!!! is abortion. So how can you not support abortion when one of the choices is abortion? The unborn child! Keep your laws off the unborn children!!! All we here is the pro-choicers ranting about their rights! What about the Unborn Children's rights!!!

The only laws in question here are regulating women's bodies. Last time I checked, Roe v Wade wasn't a law, it was legal ruling from the Supreme Court defining a part of the Constitution as it applied to the argument in question. But you're probably to dumb to understand that.

"Keep your laws off the unborn children!!!"
Wait, what? You're pro-choice too?
Laws are by definition restrictive. You can't just have a law that says "sure, go ahead and have abortions". Law does not work that way >.<
Giving an embryo rights is akin to giving a severed finger rights. Both are unmistakably "human," but as you can see, being "human" isn't enough to have rights--one must BE (that's the operative word) a human BEING.
I don't want people to have abortions, an abortion is the last resort when all other birth control measures have failed. I'd rather we had a perfect method for women to control their fertility so that they never got pregnant unless they wanted to, but as long as birth control methods are fallible there will be unwanted pregnancies, and abortion should be an option in those last resort situations.
A clump of cells with no nervous system is not a human and doesn't have human rights.
I'm pro-choice, and I'll say that I'm not pro-abortion. I don't like abortion, and I think in a perfect world it wouldn't exist, but this is definitely not a perfect world and sometimes it's the lesser of two evils. So yes, the choice should be available, and is something that should be left entirely up to the woman, her partner, and her doctors, without politicians sticking their meddling noses into her private business.
Besides being wrong on what constitutes a 'child', let me say this. I'm not gay, I don't have abortions, I don't gamble, I don't do a lot of shit that other folk do. That doesn't mean I don't want the option, or that I think others who find these topics coming up in their lives shouldn't. The great thing about the freedom to do something is that you also have the freedom not to.
Hope that helps.
It would be as such, were it not because a very high proportion of abortions happen in supposedly anti-abortion states. Which means that many people who are pro-life abort, maybe saying that, in this case, they had right to do it, and that many pro-choice people didn´t do it when faced with the problem. If people were pro-abortion, they would outlaw contraconceptives and make women pregnant all the time in order to abort, in the first place.
If you think that anybody besides a mass murderer honestly looks forward to abortion, then you are more fucked in the head than you could possibly realize. I don't know anybody who eagerly awaits abortion; for one thing, as I understand it, it is neither a pretty nor a pleasant prospect in the slightest. Some things must be done, however, no matter how vile we find them, especially when the life of an already established human being (the mother) is in danger or when the mother has become pregnant against her will.
Please do not project your own slobbering zealotry upon other people, Ratigan.
As a man, I have no right to interfere in any woman's choice to terminate or not, except if I were personally involved in the pregnancy.
Many factors are considered when a woman chooses whether or not to terminate. A fundie rant is not a legitimate factor for most people.
I'm expecting to read your name in the news in association with some sort of slaughter.
Under the U.S. Constitution, rights apply only to actual people, i.e., those who were actually born - and that's much more expansive than the bible, which defines human life as beginning ONE MONTH AFTER BIRTH.
I am not for abortion, yet I am pro-choice. There is a choice, and I believe it's up to the individual to make it. What I find strange, is that so many people who call themselves pro-life actually are for the death penalty. I also find it ironic that a gay Navy washout, who falsified government documents to enter the service, then went on to fail at doing that, sets himself up as any authority on morals at all. Get lost you scurvy bitch.
look, the only person who is able to make that choice is the mother. do you think that if you were to ask the unborn clump of cells what it wanted to do, that it would just turn around and say "well, actually, id like to be born please"
No. obviously not. and do you know why?
BECAUSE IT DOES'NT EVEN HAVE THE ABILITY TO THINK! NEVERMIND MAKE CHOICES!!
therefore, the only person who is capable of making that choice is the mother.

Ever seen Monty Python's "The Life of Brian"?
Well, this is like the bit where Stan, (from the movement, the people's front of Judea) wanted to fight for his right to have children (meaning, literally to give birth). Reg's point of view was- "whats the point of fighting for his right to have babies?! He has'nt got a womb!"
This comment just reminded me of that.
"I fail to see how this is fundie. This point of view can easily be held without religious beliefs."
As has been said before by other people, you don't have to be a religious fundie, to still be a fundamentalist about an issue.
Pro-choice means alot of things.
It means choosing when or whether you want to have children. It means choosing how many children you want, it means choosing to carry your pregnancy to term and keeping the child when it's born, it means choosing to carry your pregnancy to term and giving the child up for adoption, and it means choosing to terminate your pregnancy.
That's why it's called PRO-CHOICE!
Oh, man. A HM that can't punctuate. You can barely write, but you get to stick needles in trusting members of the United States Navy. People like you scare me.
And anyone in the medical field should recognize that an abortion is a valid medical procedure. It saves lives.
All we here is the pro-choicers ranting about their rights! We be here tonight to tear this muthafuckin' playhouse down! I wanna give a shout out to lil poochie, T bone screw, Jizzy Pete and the booty call brothas ... reprasaent!
