Quote# 24531

If you are telling me pro-choice doesn't stand for letting women kill the unborn human then I totally agree with the pro-choice movement. See heres the thing the pro-life movement is all for choices until they involve the killing of an innocent human.
And just to let you know your uterus does not give you control over other humans.

Keep saying that after you lose a loved one to complications from a pregnancy that should have been aborted.

The uterus HAS control other humans. Let me put it straight, it´s where the foetus develops. If the woman dies or it´s damaged for whatever reason, they both die.

Er, that's kinda the definition of a uterus. Except it's not quite a human being, yet.

Is it just me, or is May anti-abortion quote month?

Happy Unwilling Mothers' Day.

Ahh and yet our country kills innocent people in other countries and no protests?

I thought pro-choice allowed the woman to control her reproductive sequences.

@Osiris: people only have value to fundies until they are born, once that happens, they can't wait to get you to hell that bit quicker.

My mom told me a story recently of when she got pregnant when she was in college (around age 20 or 21), and she got a really difficult abortion. While she was heading out of the clinic, some anti-abortion people screamed at her that she was a whore and going to heck and stuff like that, and she believed it and believed God hated her for years since she grew up in a very religious home.....and I only add that to a list of about twenty or so other reasons why I'm dissatisfied with the fundamentalist / evangelical god.

I'm pretty neutral about abortion myself. Sometimes what people consider murder is necessary.....

So you're all for protecting the lives of women who may die if they DON'T get an abortion, then?

Go ahead, let that spin around in your head for a moment.

Why don't you protest the death penalty then? Sure most people who are executed are guilty but there have been quite a handful of people who were wrongfully executed. As long as the death penalty exists, there will always be a chance that you end up putting an innocent person to death. And also, why are you against gun control? Guns that go in the hands of the wrong people result in hundreds of innocent peoples' deaths!

Are you also fervently against wars, lack of gun control, and the death penalty? Those involve stages of human life as well, stupid.

Pro-choice stands for letting the woman (and her partner to some extent) decide whether to continue a pregnancy or not. A human has a functioning nervous-system, a birth date and, in most countries, a personal code number or social security number of some sort.

So, the pro-life movement is all for choices until a choice has to be made, right? Often it's the fetus that is killing the innocent woman, ya know.

You're right, my uterus does not give me control of other humans. I only have control over parasitic beings inside my body.
