Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Unfortunately, that assumption is usually a bad one. We thought the Plague was caused by God. People crawled on their knees to the church to beg to be spared. They died anyway. Today we can cure it with a few dollars worth of antibiotics. God doesn't reward blind stupidity.

None. That's called \"theistic evolution\". It's basically how the Catholic Church and many religious scientists reconcile evolution science with their faith. Science can't prove that God isn't \"loading the dice\" in apparently random events. Did someone win the lottery because of pure luck or because he prayed to God? Did God nudge the Australopithecus's DNA in the right direction toward humanity? Who knows.
