Regardless of your theories. Atheism IS definately a religion. It has no organised set of beliefs but it is still a faith. A blind faith that there is no God and there can be no God no matter what the possiblities are.
No spirituality whatsoever. Just complete emptiness.
And as there is absolutely no established moral guideline, the potential for evil in this system makes it the worlds most deadliest of all religions.

(a) Atheism is not a faith that there is no God. It is a reasoned position that says there is no credible evidence for the existence of any God or gods.
(b) Our belief does not result in "complete emptiness." Because we are intelligent, well educated and well read, our lives are considerably more meaningful and interesting than yours.
(c) Morals are a human construct based on common sense. I will match the morality of atheists against that of Christians any time. (US prison population: 2-million. Christian: 80%. Atheist: 0.2%)
Wait, what?
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, and I've looked at a fair number of quotes on this site.
First, you assume that atheism is a religion, albeit conceding that it has no organised set of beliefs, then you attack it for not having an organised set of beliefs.
It's like, I dunno, saying the Bible is a good source for predicting sports results and then criticising the Bible because it couldn't predict those results accurately.
Jesus.
Oh, and 'most deadliest'? Learn some grammar, punk.
The fact that there is no established moral guidelines is one of the stronger points of atheism, if you ask me. It means that there'll be no one holding progress back, and that innovation is more free to become widespread.
Keep in mind, though, that one can easily be atheistic and traditionalistic at the same time.
Bullshit, read a definition of atheism in the dictionary before embarrassing yourself more with your appaling ignorance. And atheists are more moral than Christians because they are good without the "brownie point in heaven" reward system that appears to be the only reason fundies behave(according to what you post here).
How many people have been killed in the name of non-religion?
How many people have been killed FOR being non-religious (or even religious, but not exactly the kind of religious desired by the one doing the killing)?
Now compare those numbers, and admit your idiocy.
::::Headdesk!::::
For the Nth time:
1 Atheism is not a religion nor is it require faith, to the contrary it is by defintion a lack of religious faith.
2 It is not blind faith there is no God. It is the courage to look at the universe around us and admit there is no evidence for the existance of any gods.
3 You are correct that there is no spirituality whatsoever. Nor do we believe there is an Imaginary Lawgiver in the sky.
From Wikipedia
A religion is a set of beliefs and practices generally held by a community, involving adherence to codified beliefs and rituals and study of ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.
And atheism is a religion, HOW?
It is not a religion, it is not a faith.
It is a lack of religion, it is a lack of faith.
And many atheists are good, many atheists are evil. Many Christians are good, many Christians are evil. It's a human quality.
Fine...atheism is a religion. Every fucking fundy thinks this, so it MUST be true. Now, since atheism is a religion, I demand my constitutional rights.
I want to see every christian who perpetuates vile hatespeech against members of my faith prosecuted.
(The sword cuts both ways. I'm crying persecution :)
Non-contradiction award?, I think that, in any case, people have the same right to believe in God, as well as not believing in him. So, I think that, whether it´s a matter of "emptiness" or not, it´s not up to you to decide. And concerning morals, should I remind you, not only that atheists are misrepresented in jails but that the only terrorists right now are religiously motivated?, that nobody kills in name of no-God but in the name of whatever god victims are countless?
Another example of the Fundie Word Redefinition Project?
Atheism is a religion like bald is a hair color. Where there is no belief in a religion, you can NOT, by definition, have a religion!

1. While I am an atheist, my disbelief in any gods is due to diligent study and years of introspection, not blind faith.
2. I am perfectly willing to listen to any reasoned, empirical evidence for a diety that you happen to have.
3. I have no problem admitting that the possibility of a god exists, even though I personally don't believe this to be the case. However, if I accept the possibility of iour god existing, I would, in all intellectual honesty, have to accept the possibility of all other gods as well.
4. I am not empty inside. Rather, I am very happy and find my life fulfilling. I wish the same for you.
5. Atheists have the potential for evil--just as all other people of any/all faiths do. On a side note, I'd question the value of established moral guidelines that glorify and even commnd wholesale slaughter, slavery, sexism, and general cruelty.
Wait, a religion that has no organised set of beliefs, no God and no spirituality is a religion? Boy, you've just listed all the things that define a religion.
There's actually less potential for evil because there's nobody there to help me rationalize things.
Plus, many religions have a very Machiavellian view of God, the ends justify the means, but as I have no god, I can't rationalize something insane by claiming God asked me to.
Atheism is not a religion and there is no faith in it. It is not the faith that there is no god, it's a lack of faith in a god.
And atheism doesn't need a moral code since it's not some kind of ideology and belief system and the state where the atheist lives provides a moral code with laws. And atheists can have thier own morale code wich is not necessarly bad (think about ''basic human empathy'')
"A blind faith that there is no God and there can be no God no matter what the possiblities are."
That would be materialism, moron; not completely distinct from atheism, but not exactly the same. Atheists can still believe in "higher powers" and still be atheist while materialists reject all possibility of any existence outside the physical. Get your facts straight.
You can't redefine words to mean what you want them to mean. Also, if Atheism is so evil, then why have most of the deaths caused by humans in the world been done in the name of a religion. The Crusades ring a bell? No, then what about the Spanish Inquisition, the witch hunts, the Holocaust, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks?
Regardless of your bullshit, lack of belief in any deity cannot amount to a religion. The two are mutually exclusive. Furthermore, if atheism is so dangerous why is such a tiny portion of America's prison population atheist?
Oh well, nothing new here, anyway.
Yup, and not collecting stamps is a hobby.
Actually, I practice the hobby of not going to Church on Sundays.
As there is no established moral guideline, there is also the potential for goodness in this system.
Nobody's there to say "Non-existant-God want's His people to do X". We're stuck with following the laws and rules of the country we live in.
"A blind faith that there is no God"
I think most Atheists agree YOUR God and all that have ever been created, DON'T EXIST. But that a God, or powerful being might.
At any rate, without the humans who insist THAT God exists, He inspired/wrote this book and insists on ritual obediance,,,,no religion.
> Just complete emptiness.
I find this ironic coming from a Christian who believes that the only purpose in life is to satisfy someone's vanity.
> And as there is absolutely no established moral guideline, the potential for evil in this system makes it the worlds most deadliest of all religions.
I also find this ironic coming from a Christian. Many Christians have used their religion as an excuse to commit horrible atrocities. For example, Adolph Hitler.
Confused?
