"When I was an Atheist I realised this is what its all about:"
Oh, do tell. Please, don't keep us in suspense.
"1. Drug taking is wholey acceptable and encouraged"
Barring the major drugs (Heroin, Cocaine, etc.) I fail to see the problem. You wanna smoke a joint, go for it. Who cares?
"2. Hate for God and anyone who worships god"
How do you hate someone you don't even believe exists...?
"3. Relationships without any meaning or substance"
Says the man whose bible makes women a possession, not a person. At least we value women as people.
"4. Restlessness, No peace of mind"
Not sure I get what he means. I feel pretty at ease, myself though. No guilt over the smallest thing as to whether it's biblically correct...
"5. Anti social crime is acceptable and encouraged"
Heh?
"6. Anti establishment and disrespectfulness is acceptable"
I believe all people deserve respect in some capacity or another. Can you say the same?
"7. Homosexuality and all kinds of perversions are deemed acceptable and encouraged"
First, define "perversions." Second, what's wrong with homosexuality? So I love a man. Big. Fat. Hairy. Deal. I'm not forcing you to. Fuck off!
"8. No idea whatsoever in what is right or wrong"
If it harms someone else in any way, it's bad. This does not extend to umbrage over trivial things, however, such as the aforementioned idea.
"9. Giving charity is something that do-gooders do because atheist consider its much better to spend money on blowing cociaine up your nose!"
When was the last time you gave to ANY charities? And personally, I'm totally clean of any drug aside from caffeine. Don't generalize. You look like an ass.
"10. Emptiness and lack of any meaning to life"
Why do I need someone else to give my life meaning? Why does it have to have meaning? Life is not about a sum total at the end. It's about the journey. Try enjoying it. You'll get what I'm saying.
"11. Spiritually dead"
Again, please define.
"12. Established scientific fact is gospel regardless if it hasn't been proven"
A pinhole here, or there in a theory doesn't mean disproven. The joy of science is that it's never ending. There's always an exception, an anomaly, an aberration to examine. You can never seal the book. Thus, any time new evidence is brought to light, it's either incorporated if it fits, or considered in a revision if it doesn't. I'd trust something that is willing to admit that it's wrong that something that's remained static and unchanging over millennia.
"13. Depression and no sense of purpose in life"
I'm quite happy. That could be the agnosticism coming out. Or it could be the fact that, again, I'm not racked with guilt over, well, everything.
"The list goes on.. Atheism is shit. "
Meh. Your opinion.
