There is no solid evidence for the Big Bang
Wrong. There is much more evidence for the Big Bang than there is, say, creationism.
thats why its a theory
Wrong. A theory does not mean a random guess, it means something backed up with evidence and experimentation.
you guys take how the universe was created on just as much faith as we take on God.

thank you for demonstrating that you know nothing about both science and the actual BB theory.

cosmic background radiation.
a theory is a well tested explanation for an observation and not a wild guess.

that's not what "theory" means in science, and there is in fact, evidence for the Big Bang.

It's Christmas and I'm feeling generous so,,, I'll give him a nearly right on that.
If he accepts that he doesn't know God and there's no evidence of God, I'll admit that I really don't know enough about the Big Bang Theory and I'm putting my faith in those Physicists. Not like I claimed absolute blind belief in the theory in the first place or followed abitrary rituals because of them anyway.
By the way, Christmas as in decorate the house, get family together, little gift giving and too much eating and drinking. Good old pagan practices that I grew up on.

And before the Big Bang theory there was the belief that the universe, as we knew it, always existed. God just doesn't need to be there and it certainly can't be one that man invented.
And the belief that a omnipotent entity, a God would arise in nothingness makes less sense then one being born of an existing enviroment after a long period of time.
