I wonder how much money is at stake keeping evolution alive. Money for scientific grants, and museums, and magazines, and TV programs, and the list goes on.
How much money would be available
If they were to agree evolution never happened?
Would billions of dollars be lost?
I am sure there are scientists who "believe" in evolution,
but how many more scientists might have "doubts"...
but have a family to feed........
and big grant money coming in....
and so they find it best not to rock the gravy train?
Because their doubts.... might even lead to their losing their job?

Probably a negative amount - any scientist who discovered a fatal flaw in evolution, or a better theory, would be immortalized in biology textbooks for decades to come (at least until *his* theory's flaws are found), would probably win the Nobel Prize, and would in short be on the gravy train for life. I don't think any scientist with good reason (read: strong evidence) to believe a common theory is false would hide it.
And how much money would be made off the back of what would be the greatest discovery in possibly the history of man kind; that not only is evolution wrong, but an alternate theory (which is still consistant with all known facts in all areas of science) but also incorporates evidence for a creator???
Do these people never think their ridiculous thoughts through to conclusion???
Idiots...
I wonder how much money is at stake keeping creationism alive. Money for grants, and museums, and books, and TV programs, and the list goes on.

I am sure there are evangelists who "believe" in creationism,
but how many more evangelists might have "doubts"...

Fixed
Erm, evolution is keeping itself alive. How much money is at stake trying to stop evolution, that's the big question. We people are doing our very best to destroy the earth and making ourselves extinct as soon as possible. Maybe that is the Rapture they are waiting for?
What? Evolution is a natural process, like photosynthesis. They are both keep going whether we believe in them or not.
It's rather the fundies fighting reality that are wasting money.
There are no scientists who "believe" in evolution, any more than there are mathematicians who "believe" in algebra.
You don't know how science works, do you? Rocking the boat, doubts, testing new things; that is what it's all about. If you refuse to rock the boat, you get dogma instead, and then you're fast moving towards religion.
Churches run on money
Religions run on money.
It's been estimated that if churches were taxed, even at a lower rate, Universal healthcare for all and infrastructure repairs would be steadily provided.
Most scientists live modestly, Mega Church preachers live in extreme luxury as do Creationists like Ham and Comfort, Hams pseudo science crew do NO SCIENCE work and live better then most scientists. Hams Ark is bankrupting the county and has the Kentucky taxpayers on the hook for millions.
Since 1776: and how churches & their related organisations don't need to pay tax, how much money does right-wing Fundamental ist Christainity owe the IRS?
Well, since Christainity - if not for it's tax exemption, would have to pay $70 billion a year - owes nearly nearly $17 quadrillion in tax since the creation of that country, that would mean fundie churches owing untold trillions .
You should be glad that Kitzmiller vs. Dover didn't go the way you - and your agenda - wanted. The Conservative Christian Judge John E. Jones III saved the likes of you effectively handing over your God to the IRS. Best not to rock that gravy boat.
But then, they already own him.
...oh, and Humanism is now an officially recognised religion:

Which therefore makes it tax-exempt. Can you say '$cientology', Ruptured Retards? If you don't want to hand your entire religion over to the IRS, you'd better start saying so. [/'Modern Cults & Religions' ]
Why did you lot vote for Mitt 'Magic Pants' Romney again...?!
