[Part of a post reviewing the online game Runescape under Biblical principles]
This is what runescape had it had demons, witches, zombies, ghosts even down to possed people. Now you may say but i'm not practicing casting spells or doing omens. I have 2 things to say to that when you do the 8-ball or hororscopes what do you think that is it is practicing omens. As doing sorcery in the Bible times when you went to a fortune teller that was considered sorcery, so how is that different than a 8-ball or an Oujia board. Asided from this I have no objection to runescape it is entertaining, addicting, fun, even moral, but it still has witchcraft which I now will not do anymore. I also feel this way about starwars, lord of the rings, and especially harry potter.

Because Runescape, Star Wars, LOTR, and Harry Potter obviously depict events from real life. Thus, they are called "fiction."
Because Templar they don't understand fiction. Why do you think they think the Bible is literal truth?
Well yeah, but if I had to pick a book of fiction to follow as literal truth, I'd at least make sure it's a well written one.
EDIT: W00t. Retroactive first post. What?

A WITCH!!!! BURN IT!!!!
...A Magic 8-Ball is sorcery?
BWAHAHAHAAA!
Okay kid, put down the game controller and just go lock yourself in your room. You obviously can't handle reality (or tell it from fantasy).
I don't really like Runescape, but if it drives away fundies, it can't be all bad.
Well, hey, why stop at just witchcraft? There's so much more! It's also got THREE GODS! Well, three main ones, anyway. Oh, the horror! And none of them are the Christian God, either! Oh, the humanity! Guthix, the god of balance, created the world and had two brothers (or somesuch): Saradomin (the supposedly "good" god, who created humans), and Zamorak (the warlike "bad" god who created the monsters). Saradomin and Zamorak have been in something akin to a pitched battle for some time, and the implication is, it'll all stop if Guthix returns and lays the smackdown on the both of them for causing undue turmoil. But, here's the fun part: as a player, you can choose to align yourself with any of the three, or all, with no detrimental effect for the splitting of your loyalty. I guess this guy hadn't played long enough to SUMMON some of those demons or call upon the power of the dark god to cause some serious damage. What really kills me is how many times I've been proselytized on that game!
'Cause, you know, everything in fiction is actually real, and only the fundies know this! Ooooo. Save the wimmin and kiddies! Pfft! Even kids know the difference between fiction and reality. Geez. To be unable to is actually an acknowledged mental disorder. So, call those nice young men in their clean white coats, 'cause it's time to take ol' Christiangamer away, haha!
Actually, both Saradomin and Guthix are canonically false, as they used to be mortal servants of greater deities. Guthix is the big daddy though, so he/she/it's probably the equivalent to YHVH. It makes even more sense when you consider the Lord's actions in the Old Testament and the neutral alignment of Guthix.
Christiangamer? Not for long.
I made a 'magic 8 ball' on my computer when I was like 12. It was actually pretty simple: a random number was chosen and it returned the phrase associated with that number.
Stop using software which makes use of random number generators NOW, Christiangamer.
That means, like, all games.

Actually, YHVH is more like Saradomin, the God of Order. He claims to have made Gielinor (RuneScape), when it was in fact Guthix, and some of his followers are corrupt, if not most of them.
Hehe, this is funny. Not only does it have almost nothing to do with it's original statement, he doesn't even cover the worst parts. As I understand it, Runescape has close to half a dozen gods, quite a few demigods, and more types of "evil" creatures, spells, equipment, and minigames than I care to count at the moment. And you know what? It's still pretty damn fun, if you have the right attitude about it.
"hen you went to a fortune teller that was considered sorcery, so how is that different than a 8-ball or an Oujia board.”
Um, no. At worst, the Magic 8-Ball is divination, which some bible characters use. Like when they threw lots to see who was pissing off the gods and discovered Jonah was the storm’s target. If God didn’t like divination, he wouldn’t have rewarded the lot-throwing with the right answer.
And IIRC someone in Genesis had a scrying bowl.
The Ouija board is necromancy. ‘Necro-’ meaning ‘post-vitality,’ and ‘mancy’ meaning a form of divination. So it’s asking the dead for information. Which is a biblical no-no, but Saul did ask a witch to do it for him.
And as far as ‘hororscopes,’ the Bible does make clear that the entire purpose of the stars in the sky is to provide signs and portents. Best example, the star of Bethlehem.
You’re dumping a lot of shit together that has nuanced differences.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
