Catholics, not Christians? How do they justify this kind of nonsense, especially when Protestantism almost didn't happen? If the Catholic church had either reconciled with Luther, killed Luther, or if there weren't so many greedy German princes, it probably wouldn't have become a viable movement.

I'm assuming that Randy is speaking of the Spanish Inquisition, which was ordered King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. The last time I checked, the king and queen of Spain were not the representatives of the Catholic Church.

No, I'm quite sure that there were different reasons for each individual conflict between the Natives and the settlers. However, the main reason behind most of these conflicts was land, which the settlers would often kick the Natives out of if they didn't become integrated into western culture (this included converting to Christianity).
