Quote# 25897

The entire script of "The Lion King" is a carefully orchestrated picture of a pagan society with animals as the actors. Everything from the king and his heir down to the witchdoctor is acted out in the panorama of idolatry and pagan bondages. The struggle between good and bad IS a classic occultic picture of black and white magic. Even the relationship of the king and his evil brother draws attention to the pagan suggestion that Jesusand Satan were brothers.

Oh, yeah, you'd never find such a simplistic, cliched battle between people who are either irrevocably, 100% good or irrevocably, 100% bad in, say, the bible! All the biblical characters are complex and fleshed out, and not at all one dimensional constructs of an entirely black and white perspective of life.

And here I thought it was a watered down version of Hamlet. But, I guess that might work too.

\"Even the relationship of the king and his evil brother draws attention to the pagan suggestion that Jesusand Satan were brothers.\"

Hmm... where have a story about one good brother and one bad brother before? Wait! Don't tell me... It's on the tip of my tongue...

Oh, that's right - the Bible. Cain and Abel ring a bell, moron? Anyway, as has been mentioned before, it's Hamlet, not

Wow? how is that a PAGAN suggstion???
Since pagans dont believe the crap in the first place.

Unless these struggles are in the Bible. What's more idiotic, the complete inability to understand the Lion King or the hypocrisy?

So, aside from the bizarre assertion that the five year process of making a childrens cartoon was to make it a pagan propaganda tool, you call all of the animal actors pagan and evil and then say one of them represents jesus? Stop camping and pass that Zong! I've obviously got some catching up to do.

Huh, and here I thought that movie was simply a pastiche of shakespearian tragedy and early Japanese animation, glossed over with Disney's high-priced production values.

Joseph should read \"The White Goddess\" by Robert Graves. It explains a lot of the mythology behind king/evil brother conflicts, plus it would cause his tiny brain to explode.

Hmmm, sounds kinky :P

One, the script of the movie is based on Hamlet and King Lear, in part. Animals as main characters are as old as humankind and your exegesis is crap, and good versus evil is a classic plot(and the good and bad brother too). Please, stop talking and take an anthropology and theology course, a real one, not that divinity pseudoscience you study.

"The entire script of "The Lion King" is a carefully orchestrated picture of a pagan society with animals as the actors.

Really? I don't remember the lions offering sacrifices to tribal African gods or even following a god at all. Is this guy saying that atheists are pagans?

Everything from the king and his heir down to the witchdoctor is acted out in the panorama of idolatry and pagan bondages.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see how Mufasa and Simba embody paganism. Unless you're talking about the opening scene where the animals all bow down to Simba when he's a baby. They're paying their respects, you idiot, they're not worshipping him. And Rafiki is not a witch doctor. What he does in that scene is essentially equivalent to baptism or any other religious ritual associated with birth.

The struggle between good and bad IS a classic occultic picture of black and white magic.

No, the struggle between good and bad is as old as time and is universal. The occult doesn't have a monopoly on it; every religion has a good vs. evil story, including yours.

Even the relationship of the king and his evil brother draws attention to the pagan suggestion that Jesusand Satan were brothers."

I must be missing something because I've never heard anyone suggest that they were. I'd hate to see what you'd make of "Hamlet."

It's a kid's movie for heaven's sakes, a good one, by the way. You're a paranoid moron.

[Even the relationship of the king and his evil brother draws attention to the pagan suggestion that Jesusand Satan were brothers.]

Yes! The blasphemy! How dare they imply Jesus and Satan were brothers when we all know Jesus created Satan knowing full well he would cause havoc!

Wasn't the Morning Star good first, then commited some trifling mistake, angered the Lord, and was cast out?

Good versus evil are a predominant feature in most religions, Christianity too.

@ #243334: I thought it was a watered down version of Kimba the White Lion, myself.
