OMG(no pun intended)!!!, Is St Thomas of Aquinas, Thomas Moore, Immanuel Kant or JFK that difficult?, Chesterton, JRR Tolkien, Calvin, Gregor Mendel or Christopher Columbus?, Michael Parr, John Donne or Henry VIII or Mel Gibson?. Calvin, Newton or Cronwell, in case you're saying that "Catholics are not Christians"? The list is long dear. And by the way, is your Brother Kirk Cameron or what?, what part of famous you don't understand?. The no true Scotchman fallacy is terrible but this one is dishonest to say the least.

That's hard."
No, it's not. If you knew anything about your religion, you should be able to rattle off dozens off the top of your head. I bet you've never read the Bible except for a few passages carefully selected for you and you can't name the 10 commandments without a crib sheet.

Jesus was a Jew!
And weren't his followers?
Christianity didn't become a religion until the early-mid first millinium"
Believed Jesus came to save us from our sins? Check

Sure, he wasn't officially a Christian, but since every christian should act like him, Jesus can be considered a christian. He was also a Jew, indeed, but those two things are not incompatible (there can be atheist jews, not to mention converts!).
Besides, put yourself in a fundie's shoes - do you really think they would call Jesus a Jew? This idiot got asked for famous christians, and somehow failed to even think of the most famous of all, or he doesn't consider Jesus a good enough Christian.
Hope that helps,
Grey Wolf
@Robbie--Why no, I didn't. I was born in NC, raised in SC, lived in TN for 30 years, and currently reside in LA. But I've cultivated a midwestern newscaster voice so people like you will take me and my master's degree seriously.
Come to think of it, it would be very hard to logically classify Jesus as a Christian... it would not make sense for him to worship himself, would it?
That's probably why this guy didn't list him. Because he didn't worship himself, whereas STG44 clearly does.
Just to add to the 'famous christian list'...
Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, etc... just about anyone with 'St.' in front of their name, Ferdinand Magellan... sheesh, this is pointless.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
