Latest findings show that children of same sex couples are more compassionate and independent than those of hetero couples. The daughter would have to seek professional legal advice, but to the best of my knowledge, grandparents' rights are almost nil, and that's in visitation rights. You would have no more right to seize the children from your daughter for custody than her neighbor would.
