Quote# 2730

... the Grand Canyon? Instead of a small amount of water over a long period of time I say it was a GREAT amount of water in a short time. And Antarctica? Easy, the FLOOD!!

WTF?! || meh

What about Antartica??

And The grand canyon was carved by erosion, a flash flood does not carve, it flies over and takes away some of the surface

I just love how creationists explain the Grand Canyon. The flood both laid down all the sediments and washed them away.

Why is the sky blue? The Flood. How do birds fly? The Flood. What is the purpose of life? THE FLOOD!!!

What about Antarctica?

I have my own question: Why hasn't Christ returned yet?

Oh yeah: THE FLOOD, right?

The Eiffel Tower? Easy, THE FLOOD! Mount Everest? Easy, THE FLOOD! Heart disease? Easy, the FLOOD! Steak overcooked? Easy, the FLOOD! Painful rectal itch? Easy, the FLOOD!

Well, if you had an extremely large nuclear-powered pressure washer [Which was available before the flood], you could easily carve out the Grand Canyon in a weekend.

And there were also colossal nuclear-powered artificial snow machine available for about $2000 before the Flood, which were used to make Antartica because all the ice they made sank to the bottom of the Earth.

The Flood's been busy, I see.

There are large valleys which have been formed by large scale floods and they look nothing like the grand canyon.

Firstly, they are a lot wider and U-shaped, not V-shaped.
And secondly they ground is warped (it looks like someone pushed two ends of a rug together) and covered in grass.

Awww shit, son. You got it all figured out.

The only flood I can see here is a raging torrent of bullshit.

Seriously, dude, Antarctica? WTF?

meandering rivers are a sign of slow moving water over lots of time. Try it on a sand table and see what happens and why.

Baby Jesus carved the Grand canyon with a dixie cup spoon.

Antarctica is where Atlantis sank.

Another idiot missed the cull; For now.
Hopefully it won't reproduce.

"a GREAT amount of water in a short time"

That would be the Columbia River Gorge, which also had nothing to do with your bullshit fairy tale.

a2jBro: I'm privileged enough I live in a zone without monsoons, heavy rainstorms or any such event that provokes a disaster that may make me intimately acquainted with how floods actually shape and interact with the terrain, thus I post embarrassing comments on the internet.
