This is not so fundie. The UN is a massive, corrupt organization that generaly proovs to be bloody useless. I have no problem with using the building as target practice as long as no one is inside, although I can certainly think of better uses for it... like a DIY shop and a thrift store.

He's partially right. The UN is practically useless. However, that still doesn't justify bombing it, especially if people are in there. But I'm willing to bet this guy doesn't like the UN not because of it's ineffectiveness, but because he sees it as the tool of the AC, or at least its predecesor.

Reasable people may debate whether the UN is needed for mediating peace between nations, and promoting other things like health, or if it's just a mouthpiece for tyrants and despots. Fundies believe it's an elite secret society that promotes one-world government for the end of the world.

I've never gotten the "UN is an evil conspiracy that will unite the world under Satan's chosen leader" thing. The UN is a powerless body composed of a bunch of nations with no real common interest except not wiping out modern civilization with a nuclear war.
