I submitted this one. In the interests of honesty, I have to admit to a minor edit: when Ethan quoted a "local homosexual" he actually named the member of the board who'd said the quoted remark. I took it out mainly try to shorten the overall length of the submission a bit.
One other point: Ethan is an American resident in Ghana, so previous commenters may want to revise their speculations on what he may have meant with his remarks on health insurance.
Personally, I think the whole thing is just a load of random bovine excrement that he made up as he went along. I suspect that homosexuality isn't even legal in Ghana, so it cannot realistically have any effect on insurance or his marriage.
