An awful lot of people talk about this research, I don't know think that makes it 'meaningless'.

Just because you don't have the drive to do anything with your life outside of the bible doesn't mean that life is meaningless. Quite the contrary, there is not enough time in one's lifetime to learn and experience all that this earth has to offer. No way to talk with everybody on the planet, to learn all possibilities and wonders of this world. But if losing god makes you a depressed suicidal goat-raping psychopath, then keep on going to church.
