[To someone questioning the doctrine of hell on ethical grounds]"Sorry to miss your point, and I understand where you are coming from....and believe me, if I listened to my conscience all the time, I'd depart the faith."
The Catholic Church in recent years eliminated 'Limbo' from their doctrine. Because they explained that it was nothing more than a 'theological concept'.
If you can understand where even they are coming from chrislb(and I certainly can; this must've been a huge paradigm shift in Roman Catholic beliefs), then I suggest you listen to your conscience now:
If the likes of Hitler can go to Hell for what he did, how can you on Ruptured Retards, and Christianity as a whole (excepting the Unitarian Universalists) justify the idea that someone like you or I can also go to Hell for telling your wife/girlfriend (when she asks if her new outfit 'makes her bum look big') 'No' diplomatically? Telling a 'little white lie', just to keep on her good side? Causing the deaths of millions and telling a slight porky are equal 'sins' in the eyes of you & your so-called 'God' after all. And whilst we're on the subject, care to explain this?:

With the emphasis on Mental.
Just think on that. And even if you had any conscience, you'd do the sensible, human thing and depart your faith now.
Because a 'faith' based on beliefs as insane as these, has no right to exist. In anyone's mind, or among humanity as a whole.
