Quote# 2890

To tell the Christ-rejector that God loves him is to cauterize his conscience as well as to afford him a sense of security in his sins. The fact is, the love of God is a truth for the saints only, and to present it to the enemies of God is to take the children's bread and to cast it to the dogs.

I thought John 3:16 said \"For God so loved the world\" - not just \"God so loved people who believed in him.\"

Zeus... something that doesn't exist doesn't affect me in any way.

Man Called True

I thought John 3:16 said \"For God so loved the world\" - not just \"God so loved people who believed in him.\"

It literally translates into \"For God so loved thecosmos...\"

So this guy basically claims God loves about 1/100,000,000,000...000th of what he's created.

Crimson Lizard

So, it's much better to tell everyone God hates them and wants to burn them in hell? Yeah, that'll bring in the converts.

Maybe it comes from having been raised Catholic, but I think anyone claiming to be a "saint" is incredibly presumptuous.

Dr.Shrinker

Ah, Calvinism, the belief that all people are scum, but at the beginning of time god arbitrarily picked a few to be saints and thus be saved. The rest are damned for being scum.

Never was there a religion that made god and humans look so bad

Feral Dog

I know people say I shouldn't but I feed my dogs table scraps all the time. The occasional cooked vegetable or piece of bread crust won't hurt them, so long as you reduce their feed accordingly-

-Ohhh, I see what you're saying. Yes I should definitely keep the bread away from my dogs if it's modeled after God's love. Don't want my cute little pound-hound to bomb a women's clinic or something. In fact, that kid shouldn't eat it either. To the trash can it goes.
