SARS is airborne, jackass. You don't have to quarantine an STD, and anyone who suggests it is only looking for an excuse to round them up in one place out of the way. This goal is rarely sought with the inmates' best interests in mind.

It might have something to do with the fact that HIV is an incredibly difficult disease to spread, you fucktard. Even if you have an episode of unprotected sex with an HIV positive person, odds are you STILL won't contract the disease. In fact, there's less than a 1 percent chance that you will.
Also, SARS ultimately clears out of your system. HIV doesn't. You'd have to quarantine HIV patients for the rest of their lives, which, I suspect, is exactly what you want.
Oh, and btw, the majority of HIV/AIDS patients are, in fact, heterosexual.

When I read the post, I certainly felt the abiding love.
We have to quarantine people with HIV because HIV is just too darned easy to spread to innocent victims. At the same time, there is no point in compassion for people with HIV, since HIV is just too darned difficult to spread to innocent victims. Heads, fundies win; tails, freedom and compassion lose.

You can get SARS if somebody infected by it does something as simple as breathe in your direction. You only get AIDS by an infected needle, blood transfusion or from intercourse.
